Ya same, this was just a one up level of trying to trick people into getting it
- Comment on Hot Ones trying to sneak in the package protection 1 week ago:
Well, if that turns out to be the case, the relationship between us will end. If the world isn’t quite as terrible as you assume maybe it will ? I have hope they will see/read it. I will include this thread as well.

As I said in another comment, I already have an email to send them once I get tracking confirmation (just in case they’re petty enough to take some action). But I want them to know the email is from an actual customer not an internet troll.
I’ve ordered from them a number of times, we like their product, the image above is new, I am 100 % sending them the email
And if they respond appropriately I’ll remain a customer, if they keep it as is and/or do not respond, they will be dead to me.
Benefit of the doubt here a bit, companies sometimes do dumb things where not everyone or the right someone is aware.

I assume you have to have some recourse with them? I mean every carrier is gonna have problems, I seem to have way more issues having items shipped to me via FedEx.
But it’s not like if I’m watching it (which just happened) and I can see it’s sitting at some FedEx hub I’m gonna chargeback the company. After it’s there a week or more I’ll be reaching out to the “carrier” and the vendor to see what they can do to help start a trace or whatnot, but as I said at some point I’ll cut my losses and if the vendor won’t make it right I’ll chargeback.
I think I’ve never had to do one honestly, so clearly generally things have gotten worked out for me, but I’m not adding package protection to my order.
If it’s only $1.65 they should just eat that, or adjust their shipping costs. If the total shipping was $1.65 more old probably bitch, but pay and move on.
What they are doing will most likely prevent me from ordering again. I ordered for two reasons, I wanted more hot sauce but I want them to see how many times I’ve ordered from them which is multiple.
I want them to see this has negative results, not just some guy on the Internet sending hate mail after seeing this post.

I appreciate your comment, but are you saying of the 2% lost packages they’ve all been for people that had coverage, therefore covered, or that UPS has covered all lost packages regardless of insurance?
If I order something and don’t get it, you can be sure I’m not eating that cost. I will do a chargeback if it’s not resolved appropriately.

Ya, I’ve seen this trend of package protection being available more and more, but this is by far the scummiest I’ve seen. This IMHO is almost criminal.

So, I’m glad I’m not the only one…
I despise the hiccups, and do nothing else until I can get rid of them.
Holding my breath and drinking while continuing to hold my breath works pretty well for me if I can’t straight up will them away!
My family thinks it’s funny how much I hate them.

They can for sure work, but as others have said you need room. When we built our house we put no tub in the master bathroom just a monster shower which fully supports our no door life.

This is exactly why everything ever shipped to me by fedex is late.

I struggle with typing on the Futo keyboard so far but it might be an option for you, I want to like and use it. It’s on my phone but just not quite there “for me”

Ya, it was only ever mildly useful and easy to just unsubscribe.
- Comment on My doctor's office now has ads when checking in online 1 year ago:
Somewhat related.
I just unsubscribed from the USPS “Informed Delivery” email which used to just send an email if you were getting mail and it would contain the scanned fronts of those mail pieces.
Now you get it every day, and it has ads. Sometimes one, sometimes more. But, you have to look past/through the ads to get to the data, so they just won’t get my eyeballs at all.

Taco Bell started scamming people a long time ago by charging more for their “food” and primarily giving you lettuce and a shell.
If I order, and pay extra for a GRILLED CHICKEN soft taco, I don’t want .1oz of chicken, 3oz of lettuce, and 6 thin pieces of shredded cheese.
I swore that place off years ago even though WAS one of the fast food joints I would visit on occasion.

Seems to work on my FB account in the US. It seems to be posts complaining about it though but still pulling up popular searches of the term.
I deleted my Instagram accounts so I can’t check there.

Ya, the amount of people outside bicycling, hiking, rafting I saw out there was awesome!

I got to experience Japan too, but I was even younger but 6’ tall. So my experience there was mostly around how I could see over everyone :)

Anecdotal story about Colorado.
I visited CO a couple of times a while ago for work. I was in my mid 30’s (2007) and fairly fit. I left Cincinnati Airport surrounded by overweight people all around me where I felt pretty good about myself. I arrived in Denver, and suddenly felt like I was on the less fit side of the spectrum.
It was VERY obvious the change. It was not something I noticed / thought about in Cincinnati, but it hit me like a ton of bricks when I landed in CO.
I’ve talked about that experience through the years. I have to watch what I eat, and work to be ‘as fit’ as I am, it definitely does not just come natural or anything remotely like. I drove around / hiked pretty much every moment I was not working and both trips were amazing. Such a beautiful state!

I’m sure if you used the kiosk often you could learn it. I struggled to just order a 1/4 pounder meal. It wasn’t showing me combos.
But i don’t have any desire to learn it or visit McDonald’s :)

Wife mentioned it today at work and it appears that McD’s is notorious for being awful. Again, I’m McD’s expert but the story on here about profits down last quarter was just odd timing for me ending up at one. So ijad my own opinion as to why there may be more issues!

Appreciate the comment! That said, I’m not looking to find ways to better my McDonald’s experience here :)
I just need to build that time since I was at McDonald’s back up. I wanted to vent after seeing the story about price likely causing their 1/4 results. I think there’s more to it.

I didn’t but everyone else thought it made sense. I’d have rather gone home and eaten a sandwich

Not that I was there to begin with, but they 100% will push my parents out of there as they do not want to deal with them. I would think their primary long term customers were boomers, and they’re gonna reject Kiosks.

Ya, same. I think I may have gotten a burger one time when I took my kid (now 14) in there for some ice cream 7-8 years ago. Then unfortunately twice this year. But I’m going to go back to normal of actively avoiding the place
