Why didn’t they just open it with a screwdriver and pry bar? Or steal the whole bus stop?
- Comment on THE EARTH IS SPHERICAL, DIPSHITS 5 days ago:
That’s because they come from inside the Hollow Earth. Which you’d know already if you’d done your own research.

Not true. For instance, a humanoid is specifically something that is not human, but human-like. An oval is not a circle, but maybe it’s a “circloid”.

But only in the same sense that they always are! You just can’t see it because of your mortal limitations.
- Comment on Entropy? Never heard of it. 5 days ago:
AI will develop a reaction to turn atmospheric CO2 into electricity and oxygen and then we’ll have nothing to worry about in our future except for the constant threat of combustion.

How is that an alignment though? It’s not like MacGuyver or Lara Croft is going to have to stop some baddies from assembling ancient artefacts in a particular room to unleash arcane terrors into the world just because the planets are sort-of visible together in the sky.

He should not an entire mining community around digging for the drive, complete with a male voice choir, Mike-Leigh-esque kitchen sink drama and social commentary. In the end the drive will be lost forever but the real treasure will be the vital and invigorating exploration of life in post-Empire, post-Thatcher Britain we made along the way.

- Comment on Anon cheats through college 2 weeks ago:
I remember so little from my studies I do tend to wonder if it would have cheating to… er… cheat. Higher education was like this horrendous ordeal where I had to perform insane memorisation tasks between binge drinking, and all so I could get my foot in the door as a dev and then start learning real skills on the job (e.g. “agile” didn’t even exist yet then, only XP. Build servers and source control were in their infancy. Unit tests the distant dreams of a madman.)

- Comment on Why do some people assume all immigrants are illegal and should "go back to where they came from"? Shouldn't that logic apply to all non-Native Americans? 2 weeks ago:
Because that would involve a level of logic and critical thinking well beyond them.
