It made me think of indirect games like Black & White, Dungeon Keeper, The Settlers or The Sims. You can give orders but you cannot directly control your characters / units. If you limit the amount of orders, add a delay / the possibility for an interception or introduce areas where your orders can’t reach your hero it could do the trick.

Transport Tycoon was fantastic and thanks to OpenTTD I still play it from time to time.
Gothic 2 is by far the best Action RPG of all time. Witcher 3 comes close, but still fails to surpass it in so many places.
Banished always gets me with it’s atmosphere. It feels cozy but at the same time you are close to complete annihilation. Oxygen not included hits the same mark, but also has a distinctive art style and humor to it which I love.

Just because the source code is available it does not mean it is free to use and do with it what you want. The license explicitly states that you may use it but have to publish it for free and follow the Steam subscriber agreement. Also this is just source code, not the assets (at least as far as I understand it).

I understand that he thinks he has to do something different. That lies in the nature of storytelling. Hardly any author likes telling the same story again and again in the same way. It is the same thing nobody seems to understand when there is a reboot or remake of an old movie or show (but that’s another story). But I also have to strongly disagree that doing something different means doing it like every other drama series. Lower Decks of all things has shown that the original idea of Star Trek not only holds up but even transcends to other genres very well.

What a perfect finale. It really shows what I most loved about Lower Decks. The crew - aside all comedy - is formed by professionals which are capable of working together and advancing beyond their single capabilities. There is no drama or trying to hide important info from each other like in PIC or DIS. This is what I always loved about TNG, DS9 and VOY and it is great to see it still works - even on modern television.
One silly, little joke got me out of nowhere (maybe I was a little bit emotional about the impending end): Ransom: Mr. Rutherford, a little birdie told me you made some pretty inspired updates to the plasma injectors. Rutherford: Was it Dr. Migleemo?

It can’t be that easy. PEGI says that games containing gambling (real money or not) are rated with PEGI 12 to 18. So there must be something else to the game that led to this rating.
