- Comment on Nintendo confirms $90 price for full Breath of the Wild experience on Switch 2 4 days ago:
One of the issues I have with the new open-world style Zelda games is that they don’t have replay value. After finishing each once (which takes a lot of time), I can’t actually imagine wanting to go back and play them again. So yeah, Nintendo can charge what they want and it isn’t very appealing regardless. Increased resolution isn’t going to change the experience.
- Comment on Warner Bros. Confirms New 'Gremlins' Movie and 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' Sequel 5 days ago:
Would be very nice if they don’t fuck Gremlins 3 up. Cautious optimism is the way.
- Comment on Minecraft movie spawns ‘annoying’ cinema trend that viewers claim ‘ruins’ the film 1 week ago:
I think there’s much worse things going on in the world than audiences having fun at a silly movie. If it bothers you too much, just wait to watch the movie at home in like 3 weeks.
- Comment on Quantum mechanics might have the solution to joystick drift 1 week ago:
8bitdo sells a fantastic controller that does everything the Switch Pro controller does besides gyro for $25. It has hall-effect sticks, hall effect triggers and a much better d-pad. It really sickens me how greedy the console manufacturers have gotten with controller prices.
- Comment on Are PC handhelds like Steam Deck really competitors for Switch 2? 1 week ago:
There’s some overlap in customers, sure but the vast majority of people who buy a Switch 2 aren’t the types who would buy a Deck. Switch 2 will sell tens of millions more units to a mainstream consumer. And that’s fine. Deck can still be a successful product in its own right as long as Valve is making a profit off of it through Steam software sales.
- Comment on The Switch 2 Rollout Was So Convoluted It Made Us Want A Steam Deck. 2 weeks ago:
Maybe I’m just getting old, but I was very bored and underwhelmed during the entire presentation even before the terrible pricing reveal. I like the mouse joycons and the Donkey Kong game. That’s about it.
- Comment on First-party Switch 2 games—including re-releases—all run either $70 or $80 2 weeks ago:
Hah. Oh hey… Look, it’s in 4K after all!
- Comment on First-party Switch 2 games—including re-releases—all run either $70 or $80 2 weeks ago:
I’m just going to get the Switch version and be perfectly happy with the visuals being slightly less good and using gyro joycon aim over joycon mouse.
- Comment on Antony Starr is glad ‘The Boys’ is ending: “I don’t like seeing things outstay their welcome” 2 weeks ago:
Agreed entirely. A show should last only as long as it takes to tell its story. 2-3 seasons is fine.
- Comment on No, Trump Cannot Run for Re-election Again in 2028 2 weeks ago:
There is a legit way that he can do it that I’d respect and accept… get 2/3 of Congress or 2/3 of state legislatures to agree and then have 3/4 of states ratify. Good luck with that.

Bootlicking fucking hag
- Comment on The Final Fantasy 9 remake looks ever so slightly more likely as Square Enix add anniversary page to website 2 weeks ago:
Would be really nice if it were turn-based. Can throw us turn-based fans a little bone after so long, you know?
- Comment on Online Wars Aside, 'Snow White' Simply Isn't Getting Moviegoers to Buy In 4 weeks ago:
Yeah, that’s not the reason this one is failing. I think it’s much simpler… it looks terrible and the CG dwarves are disgusting.
- Comment on PC gamers spend 92% of their time on older games, oh and there are apparently 908 million of us now 4 weeks ago:
Totally. Even with good new games, best to wait until they are cheap and completely stable. The impatience to play something the day it releases hasn’t been a thing for me since like 2010… which I agree with you were just generally better, more exciting times for the medium.
- Comment on "You should probably just throw it away" 4 weeks ago:
They use it for basic everyday stuff like web browsing? I installed Linux on my mom’s aging laptop that she just used to sell stuff on eBay, browse, listen to music, back up photos, etc. Linux glides with ease on the machine when Windows slogged and she was able to understand the OS fine. Users today don’t really have to touch the command line at all unless they are doing something advanced. The GUI is just as easy to understand as Windows.
- Comment on Steam is a ticking time bomb. 5 weeks ago:
I can think of very few companies or services that I approve of more than Valve and Steam. Being private and free of shareholder greed is huge. They’ve never once screwed me over.
Only moment of worry will be when the company changes hands, but I’m sure Gabe has already thought about a worthy successor who won’t destroy the soul of the company.
- Comment on Welcome, new users! 5 weeks ago:
Yep, I’ve been flirting with Lemmy for a year and a half and come here every time Reddit really pisses me off or bans me for something I would have never been banned for 10 years ago.
I’m not flirting with it anymore. This recent batch of censorship is too much. It’s the last straw. Deleted my Reddit account for good. I can still use it as a resource to get answers to questions without needing an account.

A one night stand told me she does this after admiring my bidet. I found it very animalistic. Haven’t tried this method, but now that you’ve reminded me I’ll give it a go the next time I’m forced to use a public restroom.
- Comment on Anon wipes his ass 3 months ago:
First vacation I went on after having a bidet for a couple years, I was miserable. My asshole had apparently lost its callouses and it bled and felt downright on fire for the second half of the trip. Now I never travel without my portable bidet. It does an impressively good job!
- Comment on Mortal Kombat 1 will have 24 fighters at launch 1 year ago:
Always been a fan of subtitles once a game series has too many entries. I’m especially not fond of publishers calling games the same name as one previously released unless it’s a substantial reboot decades later.
