- Comment on Israel escalates attacks on medics in Lebanon with deadly ‘quadruple tap’ 3 weeks ago:
As though they needed to somehow make themselves even more monstrous, this really exemplifies how wretched these fuckers are. Dropping bombs on people, waiting for the medical/rescue people to arrive–bombing them as well–wait for the next wave of medical/rescue personnel to arrive to help recover from both attacks–bomb them again and we’re still not even at the 4th “tap”. The fact they use such a small, antiseptic term like “(insert multiple here)-tap” for something as appallingly vicious just underscores how disgustingly inhumane they are.
Not to mention, that is illegal under international law according to the article:
Under international law, all medics are protected and are considered non-combatants, regardless of political affiliation.
Of course, if no one enforces the law it really is just a guideline or suggestion. Nobody stopped them at double-tap strikes, look where that’s gotten us. Fucking quadruple-tap. If they ever wanted to reveal that they’re the bad guys, this is basically like a giant fucking neon sign stating as much.

I think they were referring to it as “tickling the dragons tail” which certainly seems like a fitting description. It’s absolutely bonkers how much radiation exposure happened in that moment.

This is probably not far off from what it’s like to be at that airport right now.

That was a fascinating read! The 2 accidents surrounding it were very interesting to read about. They were both basic human mistakes that led to the ghastly consequences they unfortunately produced. The 2nd accident though, by Slotin–that was hubris. How could one have skirted such simple safety protocols? Dude was controlling a very very very powerful experiment with a screwdriver in his hand being all that stood between the team of scientists and a staggering amount of radiation… Then it slips! 👀

Nothing weird about it. End of the world seems within our sights. Perfect time to pick up a self-destructive habit, imo 😅
For real though, i quit a few years back and it’s been such a game-changer. I also chalk the fact that i did something positive and healthy as the reason why we seem to be nearing a potential ‘end-of-world’ scenario. If i just would have continued suckin down those cancer sticks we would likely be in a much better position, globally. Sorry guys 😬

What the fuck. These same goons that are wearing masks so nobody knows who they are and can’t be harassed by protestors…are going around harassing protestors because they have ways of identifying them using government-provided tools. These assholes thrive on unfair advantages. They can have guns and shoot people with impunity. A protestor shows up in possession of a gun and it’s grounds for his execution by them.

"Everyone I’ve spoken to over the years who has bought an SUV says they like being higher up, they like better visibility, and they feel safer on motorways and bigger roads.
They may get that visibility boost for now and at the expense of proper visibility for drivers in cars that sit lower than them.
In time (and it won’t be long now), when most cars are sitting at the higher level, they’ll need to go even higher to get that visibility back. By that point, it will not only be at the expense of nearly everyone else’s visibility but also enters into a fun new category–limiting the drivers own visibility of shorter cars and most importantly pedestrians and anything on the ground in front of the vehicle.

I fully agree! This is a perfect example of how true the cliche “variety is the spice of life” can be. Novel experiences are abundant when you’re young, but when you’ve “seen/done it all” life can become boring or perhaps feel like the movie Groundhog Day…every day the same routine, no change in schedule or behavior, no change in outcome or expectation. There’s certainly comfort in routine but i find learning and trying new things to be one of the most rewarding experiences as i get older.

Gotta love “pledges”
Get all the credit for promising something you’ll do in the future, don’t actually have to do jack-shit when the time comes–simply abandon the pledge. It’s too late for those that bought into the hype to get any sort of refund for their votes or support etc.
