  I used to have a hard time ranking my favorite games. Often the order would change based on how I was feeling at that time.

  That all changed when I found Satisfactory. I no-lifed that game for months. Never before have I felt as though a game had been made for me.

  Now my ranking is

  1. Satisfactory
  2. (a huge-ass gap)
  3. Hades 1&2 4-∞. idk like every other game that is conventionally good?

  3. Baldur’s Gate 3

  Not that they’re the best games, but they’re definitely my favorites. Though if I’m being honest there’s a large gap between number one and number two, and anything other than Satisfactory feels like it could move in the top 10 depending on my mood.

  So I guess if I’m being honest with myself it’s more like

  1. Satisfactory ~massive gap~ 2-∞. any other traditionally well-liked game, depending on my mood on a given day

  Totally agree. The DAW space is depressingly neglected as FOSS and I can’t imagine why. 15 years ago I was certain there would one day be a FOSS DAW that had the same love put into it as Blender.

  I like using peazip since it’s open source and includes 7-zip along with it

  I’m playing Counter-Strike 2

  … exclusively on a modded server hosting a Warcraft mod

  … that I found because I was searching for the same thing I played on CS:S over a decade ago

  I found out that Satisfactory is on sale right now, and will go up in price by $10 after the sale. So if you want it before 1.0 comes out now would be a great time.

  Stardew valley is 2D so fewer controls to learn than a 3D game. It also has a cute art style.

  WoW Classic: Season of Discovery, and I recently started my second playthrough of Satisfactory now that Update 8 is out.

  Satisfactory for me. I like setting a small goal for myself to build a whole factory piece by piece.
