- Comment on Police officer Kristian White found guilty of manslaughter after tasering 95yo Clare Nowland 3 weeks ago:
Police risk their lives every day and this is how we repay them? A blood thirsty woman who had nothing to lose was coming at him with a knife. She was old enough to know better than that!

- Comment on Apple Pay, Cash App, and other digital wallets will be regulated more like banks now 4 weeks ago:
Cashapp doesn’t hold customer money. It has banking partners that hold customer funds.
- Comment on Man fatally crushed on wind farm construction site in Victoria 5 weeks ago:
Very sad news. Live by the blade, die by the blade. I hope some good can come from this and they change their processes/behaviour accordingly.

I am vegan. It’s great! Highly recommend it!

Landlords have to pay for water connection to the property. It works out to around $700 per year.
- Comment on Victoria sees record fall in rental stock as investors leave the state 2 months ago:
Some are, some aren’t. I only have anecdotal data so I’m not sure of how prevalent this is at a national level.
- Comment on Victoria sees record fall in rental stock as investors leave the state 2 months ago:
Congrats! But the mortgage is just one part of the costs of ownership. Many people spend lots on rates, water, repairs, upgrades, etc.
- Comment on Hope I won't regret this: Does anyone here live in a van? 2 months ago:
I have a friend who lives in a van. Nice guy
- Comment on Victoria sees record fall in rental stock as investors leave the state 2 months ago:
Renting is significantly cheaper than owning. If the landlord does their part with maintenance, it’s the better option for many people.

In the negative gearing debate, wouldn’t the real scandal be if changing it WASN’T examined?
- Comment on Anon seeks enlightenment 2 months ago:
Dollar coins are just as inconvenient as the rest of them. I guess 50c is the worst with its sharp corners.
- Comment on Mona’s ‘Ladies Lounge’ wins court battle to exclude men from art-filled space 2 months ago:
Yawn. This whole court case is just a publicity stunt for the exhibition and the artist. Don’t give it oxygen.

Wow, nothing says “we’re doing nothing wrong” like trying to bury footage of what you’re doing.
If they’re so legit, they should be happy to share the footage.

What a tragedy! I’m glad this is still getting air time, and I hope they take steps to ensure this doesn’t happen again (not just that intersection but across all of Melbourne)

Can you link to a single case where someone has been charged with theft for making money off something they’ve copied?
Or are you using some definition of the word theft that’s different from the legal definition?
- Comment on Listen to the AI-Generated Ripoff Songs That Got Udio and Suno Sued 5 months ago:
That’s not what theft is. I think you mean copyright infringement.
- Comment on Pay Day with demographer Liz Allen: 'Poverty grants perspective that can never be bought' 6 months ago:
She seems to have a lot of negative stories she tells herself about money. Luck definitely plays a part in things, but it’s not everything. I think with her attitude things are unlikely to change for her, unfortunately.
- Comment on The problem with GIMP 6 months ago:
I guess you can’t quantify how much the name has helped it. How many people remember it because of its quirky name. Without knowing both numbers it’s hard to know if it’s a net positive or negative.
