This is so true! There was a true Cambrian explosion of holy men and mystics in the first century in the eastern Roman Empire. Christianity was the one that out-competed them all. The best brain worm. The two thousand year meme.

For all Protestants bang on about hell and the devil, they are well on their way to paganism too.

Honestly, I agree with you about the pointlessness of most wars.
It’s weaponizing misogyny to make that point that is deeply icky.

Stop being a furry.
Furries keep the Internet running. Anger them at your own peril.
- Comment on Is it worth investing if I can only contribute $50 a month? 4 weeks ago:
Financial advice will always be intrinsically linked to fiscal advice, and that will vary with jurisdiction. Where I live we have no 401k or medical debt, but we have other debt and investment instruments with preferential tax treatment.
The main line of the flow chart is sound.

There will never be a Disco Elysium 2, or even a true “spiritual successor”.
That’s ok. We got a great game. That will have to be enough.

- Comment on If Trump wins the election thru fraud how can the democrats refute it and prove they won? Or will it just be like another Jan 6 and four years of whining like Trump? 2 months ago:
Maybe so. But keep in mind that part of being a good officer is making sure you don’t issue orders your men are not going to follow.
Do you feel lucky?

I actually expect the US Military to step in. Every member is sworn to uphold the constitution. But if the constitution has been discarded, then I’d expect them to step in to restore it.
Have you met the Oathkeepers?
If shit goes down, assume anyone with a uniform is going to throw in with the authoritarian despot.

As someone recently told me, they don’t worry about saving lives, they worry about saving souls.
You need to abide by the quaint rules of the magical sky daddy for that, even if they don’t make sense.
