A matter of keeping some hair in a jar as well as a photograph of mine

Wait, but can I shapeshift within a given species?
- Comment on Let's play this game again 3 days ago:
TIL what thespian means. And I don’t think it would make you a better actor, just a cheaper and more versatile one. Besides, it’s funnier to kidnap random people and live their lives for a day. Since everything you need to know about them is inside a rectangle protected by the face and finger you just replicated, it should be feasible enough. Besides, they’ll take the experience to the grave or be considered nuts

I mean, what would you do with it? If I had it, I could greatly influence the politics of any country, simply by being any leader I wish to be and screwing their public image
- Comment on Let's play this game again 3 days ago:
Still a cool power

I mean, the point of shapeshifting is to be sneaky
- Comment on Let's play this game again 3 days ago:
That’s not shapeshifting, that’s body swapping

So I just need to keep my weight constant
- Comment on Let's play this game again 3 days ago:
You shapeshift into the exact mental image you keep in your mind at any given moment
- Comment on Let's play this game again 3 days ago:
Disgusting and likely painful, would have to be done somewhere private
- Comment on Let's play this game again 3 days ago:
If I shapeshift into another human, I’d just have their memories
- Comment on Let's play this game again 3 days ago:
Still works. I just gotta shapeshift into someone about my height

- Comment on Linux help and actual pros and cons 4 weeks ago:
Usually AMD is better, since the drivers are fully OpenSource. NVIDIA maintains proprietary drivers, which means the open source ones aren’t as good (yet). Linux mint should have a fairly simple graphical tool to install the proprietary drivers

www.protondb.com Here for the compatibility list. Platinum stuff is stuff that is literally plug and play, gold is a should be fine. Get something easy to use, worst case, Mint should do the trick. Just install apps through the graphical store (this should include steam) and you should be fine. NVIDIA or AMD for graphics? Mint im pretty sure has an easy tool to install the proprietary NVIDIA drivers at this point

Just to be annoying, first you could argue that Jews were a separate ethnic group with distinct characteristics, or that modern people in the Middle East are descendants of Turkic tribes that came to occupy Anatolia after the fall of the eastern Roman empire

Hey! Any idea on why this wave is happening? Also, how does it compare to the initial Reddit “refugee” wave?

So, context: I’m still fairly young (right now in college), from Europe and fairly into politics (US and otherwise), this all happened when I was still in high school. On YouTube I watch primarily tech/educational content. And then the algorithm starts pushing TLDR news on me. That’s fine, those guys are generally ok and their sources are reliable. Besides, I already have plenty of European news sources and want to catch up to the US. Then slowly new channels were introduced. At first confirming my beliefs, how healthcare is terrible et. all. Then it started planting small lies, like how there are “only two federal holidays”(it took me a while, even after quitting to dismiss this as a lie and actually checking my sources), and it started escalating. I’m not yet sure exactly when or how, but at some point I smelled bull crap and realised I was being messed up with. At which point I quit and started curing my own feed.

I’ve felt this. YouTube tried to radicalise me to the left ( Yes, I do realise the irony of saying this on this particular server, but it’s my story, and merits telling regardless), and I felt myself spiralling. I realised it, and cut off all of the algorithms. Now I use Freetube on the desktop, so that I only have the content I choose, and the fediverse as other social media.
