- Comment on [Spoiler Warning: Baldurs Gate 3] Karlach romance 1 year ago:
My first playthrough was the same thing, but I think it’s because I picked her up so late in Act 1. I have no actual data but I think that if you don’t have a certain level of approval with her when you
spoiler about Karlach's side quest
have her heart tuned the first time
you miss out on romancing her for the rest of the game. For my playthrough, I basically picked her up, and started progressing through her quest immediately, and already that the item needed to finish her act 1 storyline; I think that’s what locked me out. Again, I’m just speculating, though.

You should back those things up with more than “because I said so” is what you should do.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
I appreciate what you mean but the idea that human rights aren’t granted is just a philosophy, not something that actually matches reality.
That is to say, whether I agree with your premise or not doesn’t change reality at all.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
Wait… our national parks are the example you came up with?
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
That’s probably a typo, read the title.
And speaking of this weak ass defense you’ve got going, let’s take it one step higher. Do you think developing countries should use America as the shining example of what to be? Surely there are better countries in the world to strive to emulate than America.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
Double check the OPs question.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
The whole country is impacted when rights are stripped from anyone. Look at what you’re saying: If some people are living a good life then it can’t be all that bad. Well, Elon Musk is living a pretty swell life so it doesn’t matter how many homeless people die in the street from hunger tonight, right? I know it’s kind of jumping the shark, but your rationale would call America “not that bad” if slavery were still allowed nationally but forbidden, in some states, right?
We should be judged by what those that have allow to happen to those that have not. Take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

Dude you’re not going to get through this with shitty wordplay. They did in fact lose a US constitutional right. This isn’t a debatable statement, it is a fact.
What is your end game here?
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
It is true that 50% of the population lost this constitutional right.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
Dude take 30 seconds and google it. Yes some of these places don’t have exceptions for rape and incest.
Look at you being the *chef’s kiss* perfect example of what I’m talking about. Why should anyone take your word on how great or not great America is when you’re this misinformed.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
I mean, case in point: someone replied to my post apparently not knowing abortion is banned in places in America. I don’t even understand how that’s possible it was everywhere on the news for months.
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
Do you really need me to Google this for you?
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
Stricter than a complete ban?
- Comment on Is America Really That Bad? 1 year ago:
You skipped over the whole 50% of the population lost the constitutional right to control their own body.
You skipped over a lot of stuff.
America is pretty bad, and we’ll never get better if everyone keeps insisting we’re not that bad.
- Comment on Noooooo you can't make a microtransactions free game and finished too 😭😭😭 1 year ago:
It’s clear that there are multiple different definitions that people have for “microtransactions”. I think it’s safe to assume that larian has a definition similar to mine. No time in the game that I’ve noticed did I get prompted to buy the DLC. In fact, I didn’t buy it; it seems early access people got it for free.

You consider DLC a microtransaction?

Please, please don’t take this as any insult or criticism, but for future reference, it’s “piqued”.
This particular homophone is almost as devious as “milquetoast”. (Sounds like “milk toast”)

I think most people are like this. It’s hard to hold on to actual hatred. Most of us ain’t got any time for that.

Ohhhh… Well that might be an issue with your specific instance being unresponsive. The reports I just did, however, worked pretty much how you would expect, so it’s not likely to be a lemmy-ui or backend bug.

To your edit:
It seems like the link was sucking in the strikethrough characters. If I had made a proper link [text](url) then it would have probably worked fine.

Federation does make things more complicated, but I think it’s worth the growing pains.

Reports sent! Also, put a ‘!’ in front of the link, like !lemmy.cloudaf.site/comment/454587

What do mean? On the standard lemmy site it should be the 3 dot menu, then the flag (aka, report) on any comment or post.
What took a long time for you?
- Comment on How does reporting work on Lemmy? If I report someone on another instance, do the mods from the community I report from get that report? 1 year ago:
You know, it’s surprisingly vague even in the official documentation.
Let’s test it out. Create a post on your instance, and then make a comment on that post, and I’ll go report them both as “testing” and we’ll see if you get notified.
- Comment on "We Didn't Know It Was The End": Jonathan Frakes On Directing Star Trek Discovery Series Finale 1 year ago:
Hey man you can’t control what you like.
I personally might have enjoyed it more if it hadn’t been (seemingly) shoehorned into the Star Trek universe. I understand it’s not a very subjective metric, but Discovery just didn’t feel like Star Trek.
It comes across as if someone producer got pitched a sci-fi series with the plot of Discovery and thought, “This is great! It would be even better if we slapped Star Trek all over it!”
