Oh yeah, RAWG is just a game recommendation platform but it’s great because it’s completely community managed, meaning that if there are games missing or games that have missing/incorrect information, you can add/change it yourself. It’s also not limited to just one system or app store, in fact, the very first game I ever reviewed on RAWG was Super Mario 64.
Also, for some reason your comment reminded me that I’m aware of Moby Games, which is just a game database that’s somewhat similar to but quite different from GameFAQs, you’ll understand if you use it. But I’ve added it to my website and, based on how I’ve been scoring these websites, it has a 14/15 score. I can’t believe I forgot about Moby Games since it’s such a solid platform for finding games to play and I’ve had an account there for several years now. Obviously, RAWG is still better overall but Moby Games will be better for when I’m trying to find retro games to play, since RAWG mostly just recommends me newer games and I sometimes like to play older games.

That’s cool, I’ve kind of been interested in playing games like this again. I know that some do still exist but I just haven’t gotten around to playing them.

I don’t know what the term “PBBG” means but is this game going to be like the old facebook games like Mafia Wars or Vampire Wars? If you don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s some gameplay of Mafia Wars, it’s not the best video but it’s the only one I found that actually showed what jobs look like.

RAWG is back up now if you still want to check it out.
- Comment on What are some cool/decent PC games that are not on Steam? 6 days ago:
Artix Entertainment has their own game launcher. Not all of the games are exclusive to it though, as Adventure Quest 3D links to the steam version. Surprisingly, the original Adventure Quest (and by extension WarpForce) still receive updates.
- Comment on Epic Games Store will get a Linux version sometime "soon" 1 week ago:
Also yeah, RAWG has been down for a few days now. There is a possibility that it may shut down soon. From what I understand, it’s been almost completely abandoned by it’s owners for years now, which is unfortunate because it is a great platform.

I mentioned it at the top of the page, if you hover your mouse over them (only works on PC from what I remember) you’ll get an explanation for that tile. I should probably make that clearer since I did kind of bury that in the paragraph at the top of the page.
- Comment on Epic Games Store will get a Linux version sometime "soon" 1 week ago:
I’ve done it. I’ve create my website and finished creating the page dedicated to game and app stores. It took longer than I was expecting but it’s in a good enough shape that I can fix any issues with it and add some more stuff to it tomorrow. I’ve also changed how I rated every app store, GOG is now 13/15 and Steam is 12.5/15. Here’s the link to the home page. I’m going to bed now.

I guess your right, I might relearn HTML so I can open another website through neocities. I used to maintain a website under a different name there but I deleted it, thinking that I wouldn’t use it again. I would just post it to Odysee (the Youtube alternative) since they have more than just videos but I don’t know if they’d allow me to link to websites like Nutaku.

Both GOG and Steam are tied near the top of the list with 9/10 scores.
But I should mention that since the chart was made specifically for my own personal use, it may not be the best for public use (which is why I haven’t posted it online anywhere). If I am to have it posted anywhere, I’d want to make some adjustments like giving certain categories more weight and expanding some others, maybe even add more. I probably wont though, as I’m just one person and I know for sure that my own biases will get in the way.
- Comment on Epic Games Store will get a Linux version sometime "soon" 1 week ago:
I guess that’s cool but Epic Games will still be at the bottom of my list of game/app stores that I use.
For context, I’ve been using a chart of game/app store with scores based on multiple categories and sorting them into a list to keep track of which ones I should be prioritizing. With on how I currently have them rated, the Epic Games Store will go from a 1/10 to a 4/10, which means that it’s still at the bottom of my list.
- Comment on “I genuinely feel GameNative could replace handheld PCs like the Steam Deck” — Inside Android’s Fastest-Moving Gaming Project, GameNative (my article!) 3 months ago:
I’m still not getting anywhere with the games I’m trying to play. None of them are listed, even for other devices, and I still can’t get any games working properly in GameNative regardless of whether I use the some of the configurations mentioned for other games on my device or the same settings I use in Winlator.
Also, that website seems pretty cool though. I’m not sure how much I’d be able to add because I’m limited to just Winlator until I can get a game working properly in either GameNative or GameHub but does EmuReady allow adult/NSFW games? I didn’t see any adult/NSFW games listed but I’m also not seeing anything about them either.

I can try that website out. There aren’t that many entries for my device (Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE) and none of them are for games I’d want to play on android but I’ll try what they say and see if any of it helps.
- Comment on “I genuinely feel GameNative could replace handheld PCs like the Steam Deck” — Inside Android’s Fastest-Moving Gaming Project, GameNative (my article!) 3 months ago:
I don’t know about that. I’ve tried multiple games with it and none of them are working. I can get them working in Winlator, which GameNative is based on, but not GameNative itself. It’s possible that I could be using it wrong even though I’m using the same settings in both apps but I wouldn’t know because there’s no documentation for either of them.
- Comment on Game franchises you like, but wish were anothet genre of video game? 4 months ago:
This doesn’t apply to a specific franchise, but I sometimes think about how fun it would be for game franchises with a lot of characters to have games designed around replaying them with the different characters. Some examples would be:
A game with every Final Fantasy character that plays like Vampire Survivors. Each character would have their own sets of equipment and attacks they can obtain.
A game that is basically Sonic and the Black Knight be re-imagined to be more like either Monster Hunter or Kingdom Hearts. Each character could either have their own sets of equipment or have access to most of the equipment but use them differently.
A Touhou game that’s some form of an RPG, whether it be turn-based, action, or something similar to FF12. I know that there already are some RPGs featuring these characters but (on top of mostly being adult games for some reason) they all only have a few of the characters and they are very short and the RPG elements are usually quite limited.
Also, not really a specific franchise and it’s technically the same genre but I’d like to see more fighting games play like Dissidia Final Fantasy. I want to play more fighting games but Dissidia is the one of the only fighting games that I’ve ever been good at.
- Comment on Lutris now being built with Claude AI, developer decides to hide it after backlash 5 months ago:
In this particular case, I think the use of AI is tolerable. But as someone who uses Lutris sometimes, I do have concerns about whether or not this will cause issues with running games through it. How do we know if the AI generated code is going to make Lutris slow or possibly cause games to not work properly that otherwise would have worked perfectly fine?
Whenever I’ve tried running games in both Wine by itself and Lutris, I have noticed that they do often run noticeably slower in Lutris. And I also don’t have the best PC to begin with, so this is a big concern of mine.
- Comment on For potential future reference, if I were to use Tiny 10/11 on an old computer, would I be able to easily install GPU drivers? 6 months ago:
Okay thank, I wasn’t sure if Microsoft or the GPU manufacturers would block Tiny10/11 users from installing their drivers since Microsoft blocks them from receiving Windows system/security updates.
- Comment on For potential future reference, if I were to use Tiny 10/11 on an old computer, would I be able to easily install GPU drivers? 6 months ago:
That’s not what I’m asking about. I already have a dual boot between Linux Mint and WIndows 10 and I’ve had it Linux Mint installed for over a year on this computer.
What I’m asking about is whether I’d be able to use Tiny10/11 to replace Windows 10 if I were to remove. I want to run games from within Linux on the SSD but I’d need to remove Windows 10 in order to use it because I’d need to reform the SSD in order for games to run properly.

- Comment on Moder games with Abuse-like controls scheme? 6 months ago:
I know of some flash/browser games if you’re okay with them and know how to safely play them but otherwise, I know I’ve definitely played a lot of games like this but I’m struggling to remember them.
I haven’t played the steam version yet but I know that The Last Stand: Union City is pretty good. It was released on Steam in the Legacy Collection It plays almost like a 2D version of Fallout 3/NV but in a modern setting. I’ve personally been looking for more games like this but I have yet to find any.
I know it might not be what you are looking for but I know that Terraria plays like this. It starts with melee weapons but you can get ranged weapons and there is a lot of them.
If you are okay with top-down shooters, I’m also aware of a game called Empty Clip.
I’m also aware of some adult games but I don’t know if I can post those here.
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 7 months ago:
It’s a minor pet peeve but I’ve disliked it when games have multiple weapons that share ammo, especially when the game doesn’t explicitly tell you this. Some examples of games that do this are Doom and Half-Life do this. The reason I dislike this, is mainly because of how I play shooters in general. I always try to preserve my ammo by prioritizing my weakest weapons but in games that do this, I’m actually potentially wasting ammo because I’ll either have less ammo for the other, usually more powerful, weapon(s), or I might not even get to use that better weapon because I had no idea it shared ammo with a weaker weapon.
- Comment on What free to play games can run smoothly on my old laptop? 7 months ago:
While I’m not sure how much of a difference the CPU and RAM will cause, my current laptop has the same GPU, so I should have a general idea of what games will work on your laptop.
Since you mentioned RuneScape, I do actually have RuneLite (a third party client for OSRS) on this computer and it does run fine. I haven’t tested it yet but I’m pretty RuneScape (RS3) should also work well. The last time I ran RuneScape on Linux was when I had a computer with an Intel HD Graphics 3000 and I was able to get an almost playable frame rate at my usual graphical settings, so I’m curious about how well it’ll run on my current computer, but I currently don’t have any interest in playing RuneScape at the moment.
As for other games, if you’re interested in games similar to quake, I know that World of Padman worked pretty well when playing offline, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t work well on your computer. It might seem like a weird choice at first but the levels are quite large and detailed, and the music is also pretty good as well. It started as a mod for Quake 3 before it became it’s own standalone game. This can either be downloaded from their website or from Flathub.
Similar to the previous, there is another similar game called Urban Terror. Similar to World of Padman, it also derived from Quake 3 but it looks and plays more like Counter Strike (or at least what I think CS plays like). I personally didn’t care for this one as much but some people might like it more than WoP. This can be downloaded from either their website or from Flathub.
- Comment on Do you cheat in video games? 8 months ago:
If save scumming counts as cheating, then yes. But otherwise, I’ve only ever used cheats in single player games and I really only use cheats if either the game sucks or the cheats I used didn’t effect gameplay. Some of the times I remember using cheats are:
Using the “fixme” command in Morrowind because I got stuck somewhere.
Using various cheats in the GTA games, after I had already beaten the main story, just so I can cause some mayhem.
Using the “giveall” command in Doom because I installed a weapon mod that required it.
Using the free cam that built into some emulators.
I think I remember using a cheat code to access unused content in at least one game, but I can’t remember what game that was.
While I haven’t played it yet, there is a PS2 (I think) game that requires using a cheat code to enable widescreen (or was it 720i, or maybe there was more than one game that did this, I can’t actually remember now).
- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 8 months ago:
No, assuming I found the game you’re referring to, I’ve never owned a Wii U and while my mom owns a switch, I don’t use it. I also don’t think I’d be able to emulate it either. It seems interesting but I wont be able to play it right now.
- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 8 months ago:
Yeah, I’ve downloaded games through Steam before. I actually had to switch over to the Itchio desktop app because downloads through their desktop app are more stable than their website. And yes, I know that I should probably just use their app to download games but I just hate using app stores on PC, it’s the same reason Steam isn’t my preferred source for games.
- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 8 months ago:
I could do that but I might have to wait until we switch ISPs. My current internet speed is terrible and the ISPs that we’re looking into have significantly better speeds. For context, I’m currently trying to download a game from Itchio that’s only 700 MB and, on top of the fact that it keeps failing, it needs over half an hour to download for me.
- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 8 months ago:
That is actually part of what I meant by having permanent access to the ability. One of the games I didn’t mention in my comment does it like that, where you get the abilities by mastering equipment but then you have to use AP to actually activate it like how abilities were in Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. I’ve actually been interested in playing Clair Obscure because I’ve heard that it’s one of the best RPGs to exist. The only problem is that, because it’s a modern game, I don’t know it it’ll run on my computer and I don’t have another way to play it.
- Comment on A cool feature/mechanic you want to see in games again 8 months ago:
A mechanic to permanently gain new attacks and/or abilities by mastering equipment. I haven’t seen that many games have this mechanic and it’s mostly been adult games for some reason. I think Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is the only non-adult game I’ve seen to have this mechanic.
- Comment on What game is a guilty pleasure of yours? 8 months ago:
I’ve been playing the android version of Bit Heroes. It’s terrible for multiple reasons but I’ve been playing it because the game can be played semi-passively, meaning that I can multitask while playing it. In fact, I’m actually playing it right now while I’m typing this comment.
- Comment on When you wake up, how long does it take for your brain's "OS" to "resume from hibernation"? 8 months ago:
For me, it’s usually instantly. While I’m usually groggy for at least half an hour, for as long as I can remember, I’ve always been able to wake up and immediately start my daily tasks, play video games or have conversations with people. I’ll even sometimes remember that there’s something I need to do, like my laundry or that I forgot to take out the trash the night before.
