  I was following the project on Reddit before I left, and I haven’t seen any updates since then. Pretty thrilled to be able to support them. It feels like a long shot to achieve the full scope of the vision, but even if we get a smaller version of it, I’m psyched to experience it.

  They really have made a ton of progress in the last year or so.

  Sorry it’s not going in the direction you hoped. I’m personally super into this vibe. Feels bizarre and different. Hopefully they capitalize on the theme and do something cool with it. If the “dragon” flight part is as tight and fun as recent Doom mechanics, it could be really fun.

  Obviously “the” is a critical part of the trademark. Lawyers win that debate.

  But why did the marketers win the “a… game” debate?

  It could have been, “The Lord of the Rings: whatever whether Hobbit farm” and avoided all the weirdness.

  The main story is the worst part of the game, so nothing of great value is lost.

  And it’s moddable and stable and fixed all the bugs form the original.

  Super fun for those of us who grew up playing it, and a great way to experience a genuinely better and more accessible version of daggerfall for new players.
