- Comment on Steam will let you sue Valve now 20 hours ago:
Great, you should focus your efforts on different companies, Valve is one of the few good ones (so far).
- Comment on Ubisofts stock tanked this morning ahead of the markets opening 1 day ago:
This was also my initial take but look at these graphs with the Y axis starting from 0 Image Image Stock lost 67% value in the last year alone, and lost 85% in the past 5 years. Looks pretty dire to me. I would say this is undervalued but I have no confidence in the ubi leadership to turn it around.

Any specific one you would recommend?
- Comment on Concord is going offline beginning September 6th 3 weeks ago:
It’s interesting that they are so repulsive to almost everyone (including me). I wonder what the specific traits are that makes people dislike the cast, I can’t quite put my finger on it.
(Except maybe for the roomba/hoover robot, that one seemed kinda interesting as a concept)
- Comment on Recommendation engine: Downvote any game you've heard of before 4 weeks ago:
It’s made by the Developer who made Gunpoint and Heat Signature (also amazing games if you somehow haven’t heard of them BTW).
It’s a turn based tactics/puzzle game where you command a squad of wizards with different magical abilities to dispatch a room of enemies. A bit like into the breach but hand crafted scenarios, not procedurally generated.
It also has a fun story, character customisation, and ability unlocks. Almost every scenario has a bunch of optional extra goals, so you decide how hard you want to wreck your brain. Highly recommend it!

Ah, so that’s why your leader now appears when you are communicating with a different civ. They had to add this for bullshit skins monetization.
- Comment on Fallout London - Official Launch Trailer Premiere 2 months ago:
I own fo4 on steam but I already have a wabbajack setup with that install. Could I torrent a gog version and install it on top of that?
- Comment on Report: 82% of US gamers made an in-game purchase in freemium titles in 2023 2 months ago:
Sad, but this includes mobile, so PC only numbers are probably a bit better
- Comment on Getting the Skyrim itch again... Any mod recommendations to freshen it up? 2 months ago:
I highly recommend Living Skyrim. It takes around 300gb storage but it’s absolutely worth it.
- Comment on The First Borderlands Movie Clip Looks Like An SNL Skit 3 months ago:
It’s okay. I played Borderlands 3 with voices off, only sfx/background sounds/music. I’m sure I can do the same with this. Maybe turn picture off too while I’m at it.
- Comment on Sid Meier’s Civilization VII - Official Teaser Trailer 3 months ago:
Let’s hope it isn’t. Even though civ 6 had multiple interesting aspects and in certain ways it was objectively better than 5, I just could not look past the ugly presentation.

My Brother in Christ, WTF is a sCiEnCe?
Is this a US thing? Does it cover the entirety of chemistry, biology and physics (and maybe maths or geography)?
- Comment on Escape From Tarkov studio boss says he "did not foresee" players would get mad about charging extra for PvE 4 months ago:
There is definitely a buzz, the SPT (single player Tarkov mod) servers have been constantly overloaded for days now
- Comment on Fallout 4 is Getting Free Updates on April 25 5 months ago:
Low key I’ve been checking in on Fallout London every now and then. I have no expectations, as these projects seem to fail most of the time before thay can even release, but if they actually manage to finish it, I’ll definitely play it. Another one in keeping on my radar is Morrowind in Skyrim, that one is in a much earlier stage though.
- Comment on Slay the Spire 2 - Reveal Trailer 5 months ago:
I’m also game if it’s a new game
- Comment on Why don't passanger airplanes come with parachutes for people? 5 months ago:
In addition to what others said about weight, training, the logistics of moving that many people at once, and other common sense problems; the most times (~80%) something goes wrong with airplanes is during takeoff or landing where you couldn’t feasably safely jump out of the plane anyway reducing their effectiveness even further.
- Comment on The return of Gamergate is smaller and sadder 6 months ago:
Does this include Candy Crush an mobile gaming? I’d say that people who play something on their phone every now and then won’t be foaming from their mouths because of something like this. Then again, they don’t buy the games that we’re talking about here so that’s why I’m asking (I checked your link but couldn’t find this info)
- Comment on This app lets restaurants and coffee shops charge to use the bathroom 8 months ago:
We still have the ‘Old lady sitting in front of the toilet building’. It’s less common these days but there are still some of these around in eastern Europe. She keeps the facilities clean(er) and takes money from entrants. They usually have a little stand or something.

Escape from Tarkov has a very good single player mod called SPTAKI
- Comment on Steam keeps on winning 8 months ago:
I think it only prohibits them from selling steam keys for cheaper elsewhere. It serves to protect steam from bad actor publishers that would try to cut steam out by selling keys on their own website, not paying the 30% platform fee. Source

I also run an ultra wide monitor. The sharp geometry thing happens to me too, mostly inside houses where there is like a small lip between rooms, or on stairs. Otherwise the camera seems fine. Maybe playing with the sensitivities or fov might help. Fov also seems to be calculated in a weird way, I have it set to 90 but it feels a lot wider.
Maybe it’s just low fps? I’m only getting around 70 fps with a 3080 (3440x1440) at mostly default graphics settings.
- Comment on The Weekly 'What are you playing?' Discussion 9 months ago:
I never could either. I recommend you configure the durability for dropped guns and armour in your mod config. The game can be very stingy as set to default. Good luck!

Among other things I’ve been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. GAMMA which is an expansion of stalker anomaly which is a mod rehash of the original stalker games. It’s a single player immersive-sim/fps/looter-shooter/survival/sandbox game set in the Chernobyl exclusion zone. Very tough, but has been really fun (maybe a bit infuriating at times). I recommend it to those who like a bit of pain. It has replaced single player Tarkov in my rotation for now.
Also it’s completely free btw.

- Comment on Netflix developing over 10 games in-house currently 9 months ago:
I don’t think 3rd world countries would have the Internet infrastructure for wide spread adoption of cloud gaming. Also it’s not like they were giving the games away, those were full-price titles on stadia. Even if there was a demand for something like this you want to deploy you product first in countries with as much disposable income as possible. If people can’t afford the prices how are you going to make money? (not just in the first few years, but ever) In the end someone has to pay for the servers and GPUs.
- Comment on Recommend a game for me to play with my partner 9 months ago:
I found this really difficult to read/understand this in places with the neutral pronouns. Anyway a cool little coop puzzle game is Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. It’s an asymmetrical puzzle game where one of you is trying to defuse a bomb (played on a computer) while the other is trying to give directions without seeing the bomb. It might fit your asymmetrical needs you described.
