I don’t know about you guys, but the teeth an my zipper are lined up ahaid of time and “traveling” the same speed. I would be fine with zipper merge if that where the case, but every time i am in the open lane and the other one closes there are 10 jerks who sped to the end and now feel i should have to come to a full stop and let all 10 get in front. Also, my zipper gets joined at the botom and the “merge” point travels back up the the path. we are all going to sqeeze into one lane anyway. Don’t care where it happens as long as everyone maintains speed. If you expect me to stop my lane so 10 can come from yours we have a problem.

Verizon…manually go in every month to OK the funds come straight from checking. Been using the same account for over 20 years and it is SAVED on the Verizon site… Have plenty of money in the account, then one month it gets rejected for “account not found”. Bank says they never even tried and i hit re-submit and it goes through no problem. Clearly a problem with Verizon’s payment processing right? But they charge me a $30 “returned” fee and when I reach out to them they wont budge on it.

- Comment on Low-wage workers in the food service industry can’t afford to eat 1 year ago:
Despite the upvotes and the BS second sentence I am going to agree with “It’s supposed to be a low earning job for kids.” Just like caddy at a golf course, and many others. The fact that our society is so broken people are forced to take these jobs and try to make a living underlines hundreds of other problems. I would rather see us fix all the others issues limiting the number of living wage jobs than worry about the pay of one sector. If that happened the fast food jobs would either be filled by “kids” or have to up wages to get any employees solving the fast food pay issue as well. just like @meco03211@lemmy.world says below things like “EMTs only get $15/hr” being fixed along with unemployment rates would go a long way.

when economy was based on number of farmers or number of factory workers (especially cheap ones) those in power loved them. But honestly even then they where treated as cheap labor not people. Ask Irish, Chinese, etc, etc…
