- Comment on Bosses are using RTO mandates as a way to ‘blame employees as a scapegoat for bad firm performance,’ new research finds 10 months ago:
My company has done 6 layoffs in the past 18 months, all because of a bad bet the previous CEO made. It’s amazing how one person can tank a company, cost 100s of people their livelihoods, and walk away with a golden parachute and a new job of equal level at another larger company.
- Comment on Cities: Skylines 2 "absolutely cannot" have the decade of DLC features that the original game added | GamesRadar+ 1 year ago:
CK3 was the last straw for me. It’s been years, and the DLC released is both expensive and lacking in the mechanics of CK2.
- Comment on What's the most desturbing thing when you look up your username in SteamDB? 1 year ago:
Only 2000 hours in 19 years? Doesn’t feel right, but I guess many of my games aren’t from Steam.

This does not agree with real world observations at all.

Exactly why dividends need to be mandatory for profitable companies if we are not going to change the tax system.
- Comment on Original ‘Daredevil’ Showrunner Calls Out ‘Disney Scam’ of Naming New Series ‘Daredevil: Born Again’: It ‘Resets Contract Terms Back to First Season’ 1 year ago:
Honestly, their recent stuff that’s aimed at adults hasn’t been great. Most of the Star Wars series, for instance, sucked.
- Comment on Creators of Slay the Spire will migrate their next game to a new engine if Unity doesn't completely revert their changes 1 year ago:
Kind of. In the past investors were willing to be more patient, and company values were artificially high, because they were based on potential profits rather than actual profits. That’s shifting a bit as interest rates go up.
- Comment on Creators of Slay the Spire will migrate their next game to a new engine if Unity doesn't completely revert their changes 1 year ago:
Exactly. They should take this as the warning it is, and start work on moving to an engine not run by morons.
- Comment on Watch: Billionaire CEO says unemployment 'has to jump' to put 'arrogant' workers in their place 1 year ago:
The ruling class has clearly shown that the economy and the stock market are not as interconnected as they have been in the past. The markets are terribly inflated, it NEEDS to go down, or the eventual crash is going to be 1920’s bad.

Stock market needs to go down to put arrogant Billionaire in their place.
- Comment on Open source community figures out problems with performance in Starfield 1 year ago:
I’ve got nearly the same specs (5800x and 6700XT), and mine crashes fairly often.
- Comment on Starfield, is it getting review bombed? 1 year ago:
My first few hours weren’t fun, and I nearly stopped playing. It started getting fun when I abandoned the main quest and went out on my own.
- Comment on Starfield, is it getting review bombed? 1 year ago:
I told my wife I’d have been thrilled to get this game in 2016. In 2023 it does feel dated though, If they don’t update the engine significantly before their next game it may actually hurt sales.
- Comment on Todd Howard asked on-air why Bethesda didn't optimise Starfield for PC: 'We did [...] you may need to upgrade your PC' 1 year ago:
I know they don’t want to switch, but it would be worth it to make the swap to something like unreal, even if it takes a few years of customization to get the open world stuff right. Creation Engine just feels so old.
- Comment on Todd Howard asked on-air why Bethesda didn't optimise Starfield for PC: 'We did [...] you may need to upgrade your PC' 1 year ago:
It’s system by system, I have the same cpu and do fairly well, admittedly with it boosting to 4.5ghz. My wife has the same cpu and it struggles on her machine. It feels like the game just wasn’t tested well.
- Comment on Todd Howard asked on-air why Bethesda didn't optimise Starfield for PC: 'We did [...] you may need to upgrade your PC' 1 year ago:
lol, no they didn’t. They didn’t even test adequately, more than a few GPUs that meet the requirements didn’t work when early access launched.
- Comment on [MEGATHREAD] Starfield - Your experiences! 1 year ago:
My kid has had smooth sailing with their well below specs PC. Makes me wonder what specs they used to test the game.

I can’t get past the intro mission, it always crashes, and takes my whole PC with it.
