The shop has a page where it tells you how many you’ve spent as well.

If your account is less than about 5 years old (and you live in the US) you can also just look at the points shop. Each Steam Point corresponds to one cent spent on Steam.
- Comment on Nintendo president responds to Switch 2 price increase fears amid Trump tariff fallout 2 weeks ago:
Never heard of that, I assume it’s an emulator. Emulation is different from running a game natively. Yeah, Nintendo probably could get AMD hardware to work as a replacement for Nvidia hardware, but I would guess either compatibility would be imperfect, there would be a performance hit, or both.
- Comment on Nintendo president responds to Switch 2 price increase fears amid Trump tariff fallout 2 weeks ago:
There is the used games market, if you are willing to engage with it, though that does need you to be really patient.
- Comment on Nintendo president responds to Switch 2 price increase fears amid Trump tariff fallout 2 weeks ago:
Backwards compatibility means they might not be able to talk to AMD unfortunately, depending on how the software is set up I’d assume.
- Comment on Switch 2 GameCube controller will only be offered to those who pre-order the console 2 weeks ago:
That would work if serial numbers weren’t visible without even opening the box the device came in, and I’m they are even included on the receipt for the device. Scalpers would absolutely have a ton of serial numbers just lying around from unsold devices, or even devices they sold and just hope the owner of won’t bother attempting a purchase of the thing they are scalping.
- Comment on Switch 2 GameCube controller will only be offered to those who pre-order the console 2 weeks ago:
That’s a fine solution long term I guess, but things take time to be made.
- Comment on Switch 2 GameCube controller will only be offered to those who pre-order the console 2 weeks ago:
Can you think of a better way to keep it mostly out of the hands of scalpers?
- Comment on Are PC handhelds like Steam Deck really competitors for Switch 2? 2 weeks ago:
I suspect it’s more that the time people can and do spend playing phone games has just about zero overlap with PC games. You play phone games while on the bus or on the toilet, you play PC games while at home behind your desk.
- Comment on I wonder if the "money can't buy you happiness" people ever lived in a car. 1 month ago:
I’ve always said if money can’t buy happiness then what’s the point in having it.
- Comment on Monster Hunter series producer is being put in charge of all Capcom’s development divisions 1 month ago:
Regarding the comparison to World, what I have said in the past is that while Wilds does look better, it doesn’t look nearly enough better to justify just how much worse it performs.
- Comment on Why We Love to Get Lost in Games: The Enduring Appeal of Metroidvanias 1 month ago:
The line I personally draw between Metroidvania and Zelda like is the ability to sequence break without glitches and a focus on platforming as the core of movement.

How do you think Tucker Carlson avoided getting sued off the air for as long as he did?
- Comment on Does Aphantasia exist for senses other than vision? 2 months ago:
It might not be called aphantasia since it isn’t for sight, but yeah it exists, I have it for taste and smell.
- Comment on Any Roguelike/Roguelite suggestions? 3 months ago:
Pathway is fun and I think counts as a Roguelite. If you also enjoy Rhythm games I would recommend Crypt of the NecroDancer. There’s also Peglin that is pretty good. Getting off the switch I want to recommend Noita, but that game is also kinda intense in terms of both brutal difficulty and just how much stuff there is the game puts out of the way. I will also second the other recommendations for Darkest Dungeon, Risk of Rain 2, and Enter the Gungeon.

Don’t be too excited, these are the same people that made Warcraft 3 reforged, that one remaster that made everything worse.
- Comment on Did Trump vote? Could he have? 5 months ago:
Florida allows felons to vote if the state the felony conviction occurred in allows felons to vote. New York allows felons to vote, thus Florida allows him to vote.

I mean, I would still file a complaint with whatever relevant government agency, worst that could happen is that things stay the same I figure.
- Comment on Unsubscribe? Nope! We'll Just Add You To An "Unsubscribers" List! 5 months ago:
In the US at least that is very much illegal, though I am going to guess this isn’t in the US.
- Comment on U.S. Copyright Office rejects DMCA exemption to support game preservation 5 months ago:
I mean, that all sounds to me like a really good argument for preserving copies of every single version of every game. To go back to your Shakespeare example, it would be a massive loss if any of those adaptations were not preserved to be found by those who went looking, so all we had to go on was records of people talking about them. In fact, there are at least a few examples of exactly that: Homer’s Illiad and Odyssey are only parts of a much larger series which we only know exist because we have other records discussing it.
Yeah, just taking snapshots of everything isn’t going to let you perfectly recreate the culture surrounding a game at any point in time, but having those snapshots around is important for giving context to other records you have.

- Comment on Californians will vote on a $18 minimum wage. Workers already want $25 and more 8 months ago:
Two ways I can think of to close that loophole: a) make tie the minimum wage to the executive’s total compensation, so the workers either get the proportionate amount of stocks as the CEO or money of equivalent market value (also include expected performance bonus as part of that) and/or b) keep a basic minimum wage around as well, so that CEOs can’t accept a pitifully low salary outright.
- Comment on [deleted] 10 months ago:
Some absolutely do, some nominally don’t but don’t stop to think about the implications of what they say they want, and probably most think education is great. The term Christian refers to so many people that making any broad assertions is going to be wrong for large percentages of the group.

Please, anyone who reads this, stop posting links to the mobile version of Wikipedia. It doesn’t switch automatically on PC, and I see it happen all the time. Just take the half a second to remove the “.m” from the beginning of the link, save everyone else from the pain of having to be surprised by it and taking the time to do it themselves.
- Comment on If presidential immunity is absolute.. 11 months ago:
See, you say they can’t impeach someone who isn’t in office, I’m pretty sure they actually can but usually just don’t bother because there didn’t used to be much point.
- Comment on If presidential immunity is absolute.. 11 months ago:
You missed a step in that plan of yours of also taking out every single supreme court justice that decided to give the president full immunity at the same time he took out Trump. Anyone willing to do that is clearly both too traitorous to the nation to be allowed to keep their and too stupid for not seeing that coming to be allowed to live and continue to do such damage in the future.
(Disclaimer, not actually advocating for murder, I don’t think)
