I was around level 24 and on helldive. I’ve uninstalled the game and won’t reinstall so not 100% sure.

Exact opposite experience as you. I put in a good 25 hours before I dropped it from all the toxicity. If you accidentally hit someone or your laser drone friendly fired they grenade you, harass you on voice chat, and purposefully don’t revive. Always get kicked at the end of the match. I used to play CS:GO back when it wasnt free and I eventually left for the same reason. I feel just any online game where you have the ability to kill your own team devolves to this.

It’s why I stopped playing all multiplayer games tbh. People are fucking feral.

Bannerlord! Top down strategy when roaming around and managing your troops and or kingdom, real time first person action during battles and sieges with different troop positioning commands.

I distinctly remember being taught in 2002 in upstate New York that humans were outside of the ecosystem and not bound by the same rules and things as animals were. The teacher said that’s what made us so special.
What a fucking crime.
- Comment on Microsoft Edge is getting a Copilot-inspired redesign 2 months ago:
They’re doing that themselves. An E5 M365 license gave you a home page where you could access web versions of all the office apps (word, PowerPoint, excel). All the things an office worker would need.
Now the home page is copilot. All the sidebar buttons are copilot agents.
It’s only when you scroll down all the way and click the tiny “all apps” button at the bottom do you find a place where all the office apps are.
I’ve never seen such stupidity and bad design in such a huge product.
True absolute morons are at the helm.

I know the Meta Quest 3 and 3s have this feature built in. For PCVR with other headsets, often games have this feature built in. Usually it’s called “comfort mode” or something similar. It’s a standard in VR UX.

Ah I see okay. I have Waydroid on my laptop and it works fairly well. Haven’t tried gaming on it though. Not a lot of standard Android games I want to play on my laptop haha

First person shooters are crazy. I love Onward and Pavlov for that. Actually aiming, crouching down, and physically reloading are things I can never go back from
- Comment on VR is an absolute game changer for racing games 2 months ago:
My understanding is that it can run apks which is what the meta headsets are running

I’ve been thinking of getting one! I have a force feedback airbus flight stick and it vibrates on take off or when I deploy flaps for approach and landing. Very very cool
- Comment on VR is an absolute game changer for racing games 2 months ago:
Sadly I don’t :( it sounds cool though

Fast motion where it’s in my peripheral vision as well as primary field of view gives me nausea even with pretty strong VR legs.
Sometimes games (and headsets) will have a comfort mode which adds a vignette around the peripheral vision when there’s high movement. That usually helps lower motion sickness.

Oh yes! Elite Dangerous, XPlane 12 (and 11), VTOLVR, Aerofly FS4 are all the flying games I play in VR. It’s incredible.
- Comment on VR is an absolute game changer for racing games 2 months ago:
Ya I can’t imagine an ARM processors going to push that much power. I’m surprised with the meta quest 3s though. That’s what I’m currently using
- Comment on VR is an absolute game changer for racing games 2 months ago:
Oof I played that in 2D and it was bonkers. There’s no way I’m trying it in vr haha
- Comment on VR is an absolute game changer for racing games 2 months ago:
Ya so I’d need to use my desktop for any vr games
- Comment on VR is an absolute game changer for racing games 2 months ago:
I’ll have to check it out! I’ve seen it around but haven’t heard much about it :)
- Comment on VR is an absolute game changer for racing games 2 months ago:
Haha I got my Oculus Rift CV1 in 2016. It absolutely blew my mind in Elite Dangerous, when all the building sized ships ACTUALLY were building sized.
VR has come a long way since then.

Ive got pretty decent vr legs and I experienced some nausea after about 30km of rally racing (around a half hour). Went away after a few minutes. I’ve got a very strong pc so there was zero lag and it was buttery smooth but the nausea still happened 🥴

Very hyped for the steam frame but not optimistic with the ram prices and subsequent shortage of every other pc part due to AI.
I wonder how powerful the Steam Frame will be. I’ve got a steam deck and I understand it will probably be similar in power. Wonder how it will handle pc racing games.

Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally 2, Assetto Corsa Rally as well

You’d still need to keep your eyes locked dead centre of the screen while you move for that. To each their own though. Natural movement and tracking is a game changer

The most expensive game I own is Baldurs Gate 3 and it’s the only game that was worth full price in my 12 years of activity on steam and over 250 games purchased. My next most expensive game was $30 CAD and I only bought a few games that high.
