Open ai made $2 billion on $5 billion in losses. Aside from folks on here talking about having it write proposals or spreadsheet formulas; this is not really a monetizable product. Aside from onsie twosie “it helps me write an email” scenarios, this isn’t something anyone should be spending $20 a month to boil the planet for.

Yes
- Comment on How is the Stock Market keeping it's value after *points to everything*? 1 week ago:
Because it’s now completely disconnected from the reality of the actual economy. It has been for a very long time. It has to do with how much money is funneled into the wealthiest hands.

This was from the amazon beef with Bernie sanders back in like 2019. Amazon created a bunch of these fake accounts only to be called out for it later.
- Comment on How come Israel don't use Mossad to take out all of the Hamas leadership similar to what they did after Munich? Would this not be better than bombing stuff into oblivion? 5 months ago:
Nor do they want to rescue the hostages. It’s all an excuse to carry out death. In Gaza and the West Bank.

I think these kind of articles allow them to collectively rachet up the misery. This is an incentive. Not a disincentive.
- Comment on Should I permanently leave Israel? 9 months ago:
As a Russian Jew who fled the Russia in the 1980s, my family moved for our safety and opportunity. Countries don’t deserve reverence just for being countries. We can be proud of our heritage without having to show allegiance to a nation state. Especially, when it is using our ethnicity/religion to brutally wipe out and massacre a civilian population.
Just do what is best for you and your family.

Every carrier has it’s problems but AT&T and Verizon are a nickel and diming rip off. They suck.
- Comment on Has AI made any breakthroughs in other fields? Or how close are we to that happening? 1 year ago:
Exactly. It’s just text prediction software that is really good at making itself sound plausible. It could tell you something completely false and have no idea it’s stating a lie. There’s no intelligence here. It’s a very precise word guesser. Which is great for specific settings. But there’s a huge amount of hype associated with this tool and it’s very much by design (by tech companies).
