It definitely will be running on the same old tired engine. It’s listed on the wiki as the engine in use already.

That’s exactly how I felt too. I tried SO MANY times to build the ship I wanted. Never could get it done. I even console-command-cheated vendor stock to allow myself access to every part at my home base, and even STILL THEN I could never get it the way I wanted it. Just wound up abandoning my entire build and going back to the same ol ship I’d been using the whole game.

I use my libary card to download and read free ebooks on my Kobo all the time. Absolutely love it.
- Comment on Games that force you to make hard choices 10 months ago:
Ehhhh, it has a lot of decisions, yes. But in the end: do any of them matter whatsoever? I feel like 99% of my decisions never made any kind of difference whatsoever at the end.
I did a whole bunch of stuff with Shadowheart and she wasn’t even in my ending at all. Totally missing. I did even more crazy stuff with Karlach, and in the end I was given zero dialog or options or chances to do anything with her, the game forced her to say “I’m getting too hot” and fall down and explode and die. I did by far the most stuff with my primary character Astarion, and in the end I got zero options to do anything with the woman he loved and he ran away to hide in a cave.
So… Yes there are lots of options to make decisions one way or another. But none of them matter at all whatsoever in the end. So, don’t be too in awe, because the way they make the story work is just totally ignoring anything you ever did.

and recently the AI written garbage “gamer” websites have become a problem as well. You can tell instantly that some ai just collected and regurgitated a bunch of text that doesn’t even make sense.
Now I pretty much stick just to the fan created wikis. Stuff like bg3.wiki and uesp.net

I don’t know, they are focusing a ton right now on re-releasing REALLY old mobile games, just with a plus symbol added to the name. That’s polar opposite from premium high end titles. If they do want to go that direction they need to change course immediately!
- Comment on When Baldur's Gate 3 came out, Steam's overall bandwidth consumption went from around 18 Tbps to 146 Tbps 1 year ago:
And they had to make a bunch of posts and updates begging people to delete all saves and even completely uninstall the game. Hell, weeks ago they were flat out telling people not to even play it at all.
Which is all so silly. I really hope Valve took notice of all this, since it’s such a huge release. They could definitely do with some improvements to this whole EA -> full release. Even as simple as having an option for two downloads (old EA version you can play now OR prerelease full version you cannot play until x time on y date).

Absolutely. I don’t know how people play complex CRPG’s with a controller. Just the inventory alone would drive me nuts!

outside of Apple arcade, I don’t think Apple cares one iota about gaming. As evidenced by your observation. It’s a huge market to miss, but they don’t really seem to care. All they keep doing is adding old mobile remakes of games everyone has played before to their Arcade subscription nobody would ever pay for if it wasn’t bundled into Apple one…

Agreed! I love the slow but steady pace of development. I’m already having a great experience here - give it a couple years even and it’ll be magnificent.
- Comment on Switch 2 would arrive in the second half of 2024 and development kits are already out 1 year ago:
I do not care about the screen tech one bit, I think LCD is fine for handheld if the price is low, but what I DO care about is using somewhat modern cpu/gpu so games don’t constantly lag even trying to hit 30fps. That’s by far my biggest complaint about the Switch 1. So if they can fix that then I’m on board! If not, I’ll probably just honestly pirate everything and play it on my computer where it won’t run like dog ass.
