I upvoted this quicker than I’ve upvoted anything in a while. Well done.

Fair. I wasn’t criticizing you, mainly just posting that for OP. 🙂

Keep in mind that pump and dump schemes always consist of someone getting fucked over. Either you’re getting fucked over or you are fucking someone else over. I prefer to avoid those situations.
I guess to a lesser extent, it’s the core of capitalism.

I hope you’re not looking at trading crypto as a source of income. It’s not. It’s just as easy to lose money as it is to make it. I also encourage you to carefully consider tax implications.
As for the rest, it all depends on what you plan to do, what currencies you want to use, how much risk you’re comfortable with, and your expendable income.
You can create an account on on of many exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, etc) that will allow you to deposit or withdraw US currency and buy or sell many different crypto coins. I believe of these will require you to register an ID (if you live in the US) for reporting to the IRS. Also, crypto exchanges have been hacked and people have lost money, so it’s worth considering how much you are comfortable with leaving on the exchange.
If you just need to receive crypto, or care to transfer your money from an exchange to a wallet that you control, you can use a number of different wallets. There are hardware wallets that you can buy that are dedicated to storing crypto. There are also apps for your phone for multi currency wallets. However you do it, you’re going to want to make sure that you store passwords/seed phrases/etc safely and securely. If you lose your keys, you lose your currency.
Nerdwallet (a pretty great financial website if you’re ever looking to compare banks or credit cards) has a pretty detailed write up on the different types of wallets and how to create one. You can find it here: www.nerdwallet.com/article/…/get-a-crypto-wallet
Good luck!

I play at 1440p, but competitive twitchy games at a super high frame rate. My 4090 does well for that.

I’ve had a lot of trouble with both of my last two intel chips. After buying two of their flagship CPUs that were riddled with problems and frequent crashes while gaming, I would wholeheartedly recommend AMD. The switch has been night and day for me.
- Comment on How are Americans so outgoing and extroverted and how can I become the same? 5 weeks ago:
Hey friend, American here. We all feel like that inside, at least a little. I was a huge introvert, and still am to an extent. However, I’ve been forced into pretending to be an extrovert for ages. I need a bunch of time to myself after things like business travel though, where I have to be the other me for long periods.
The only advice I have is: try it out. It sucks at first, but it gets easier. Sometimes you might actually enjoy it.
If you ever need help or want to practice in a judgement-free space, hit me up. My German isn’t so great but I’ve spent some time there.

If the bright color is white, you’re probably ok. I say probably because shit is extra weird right now. As I understand it, the darker colors risk being “deported@ and by deported, I mean being sent to concentration camps in other countries.
I never would have thought the above sentences would be typed by someone in a rational frame of mind, but… here we are in 2025.
As delightful as you sound, my advice would be to not visit us. We’re in a dark place. While I’d love to meet people like you, we don’t deserve it right now. Shame on us.

Yeah, I remember a bunch of these posts as well. OP, by all means follow the advice of the people below relating to this issue, but I think you should also take an introspective look at yourself and ask how you can be a better coworker. I don’t think you’ll ever be happy until you do.

Just a thought but if it’s like this, it’s some anime porn thing that people do now. It’s not gender or sexual orientation specific though. I think they usually cross their eyes as well.
I’m too old to understand it. Or to be cool anymore.
- Comment on is it wrong/selfish to cut contact with my trump-supporting father? 3 months ago:
I pretty much did the same when my dad kept trying to push his politics on me during the last trump presidency. It sucks, but at the end of the day I’m a happier person. Hope they get their shit figured out.
Hope you find the same.

Happened to me a while back. In my case, they had also gotten access to my google password manager and were trying to cover their tracks in funneling money from my bank account and purchasing phones on several platforms (google store, eBay, etc).
Absolutely change your banking passwords, let them know that there could be potential fraud, and start looking for purchases on every platform you might have saved financial information on.
Best of luck.
