Some of my friends just changed their last name to Rabbit. Easy, short enough, and cute

I love Pistol Whip, absolutely, but it’s harder for me to feel the music and the rhythm in that one. I’ve tried a bunch to stay on beat, but when you’re dodging like mad and sweating and there’s suddenly a guy on your left from a niche in the wall, it feels harder to be one with the music.
Grain of salt - I have a very deep relationship with music, so for me, beatsaber let’s me feel the music in a new way and syncs the rhythm and the sounds just right (on well mapped levels).
Synth Riders tries to emulate that feeling, but it feels a little more clunky and a lot more like dancing. Which is fine, the dancing is fun, but just not totally there in all songs.
The drumming viking one seems like it’d be fun, but less interactive than Beat Saber.
I did recently see a clip of one where you’re a conductor for an orchestra? I don’t have a CR set right now (and am waiting for the steam frame with bated breath) but that one looked really good.

I’ve been recently watching those graphs too, and it’s mind blowing how huge those numbers are.
I haven’t really done the math, but it seems like peak times are later day in Asian countries, so I do wonder if it’s the same releases that are driving the big numbers, ie Forza and Subnautica

Huzzah, thank you for the full breakdown, I really appreciate it!
Hmmm, I’ve been looking at jobs in the hope I can make my transition easier, but it sounds like I’ll need the social insurance number before I can really be hired. Catch 22.
But still, thanks a bunch!
- Comment on Any tips on immigration? 1 week ago:
Yeah I’ll have residency and access to most social programs until I become a citizen, but it’s 3 years of residency and then passing the test for citizenship. I figure there’s likely courses offered by universities or libraries or whatnot for the test. Or at least workbooks.
But we’re not entirely sure if my partner will get a green card. She’s rather uncomfortable with the US in general right now and doesn’t think her opinion will change unless something drastic happens and we swing vastly the other way politically. Fingers crossed, but I am running out of any glimmer of hope.

Fingers crossed it doesn’t, friend. But yeah… Oof

Ohh good to know about the AI gen. Ugh. That’s just bullshit.
But yeah, been looking at the canada.gov ones and am aware of BCs slightly different healthcare things - ie medications aren’t covered except maybe sometimes. It’s weird.
But thanks for the rest!

Yeah that’s how it’s been for me too. I left for Lemmy and deleted my 15 year account too when they announced to take down 3rd party apps.
I’ve been visiting the Best Ofs, but this stupid pop up won’t let me scroll at all anymore. So. There’s now nothing for me there.

I saw the reposts and that’s just lazy nonsense.
This was a separate thing of me being frustrated. Coincidental, I suppose ¯\(°_o)/¯

I know, I know, reddit sucks ass. I’ve been using firefox with ublock to read the best ofs for the unquenchable need for bullshit drama in my life.
But now it’s not just a pop up saying to use the app, but a full ass unpassable thing. Old Reddit still works, but that’s just another step for something that’s already so not worthwhile.
Welp…

- Comment on Valve Uploads Steam Controller Unboxing Video, Launch Imminent 5 weeks ago:
Not OP, but I used Xbox controllers for a long time. I kept breaking them (I have gorilla grip problem), so I got an Xbox pro because I didn’t like how the ps3 or ps4 controllers were laid out. I broke the pro controller.
I’ve switched to a ps5 controller and aside from getting re-used to the button names, it’s been really nice. Super comfy and is holding up really well. I miss some things on my pro controller, but so far this is great.
In all of that,I did use the OG steam controller for a while too and I loved that one, but my hands were too small for some functions, so I couldn’t keep using it.
An 8bitdo controller is next on my list after the ps5 maybe breaks, as I’ve heard very good things.

Not all of these companies pay hourly. Check the contracts and see if you can ask a worker who actually works there.
My ex got duped into a commission only job that sounded great on paper but was absolutely awful

Super Bunny Man and Heave Ho for multiplayer games. Single player is doable, but multiplayer is where the laughter really hits.
- Comment on Would it be silly of me to get a small dog if I am a little afraid of bigger ones? 1 month ago:
I’m in the same boat. I have a medium -big dog and I’ve had him for a third of my life. He is my most precious friend and I absolutely treasure him.
But I’m never getting another dog. Not because he’s going to break my heart when he leaves, but because of how much work and money goes into owning a dog.

Personally, I played a whole bunch of demos.
Far Far West was a lot of fun, especially with friends. It needs some tweaks, for sure, but we played for a solid several hours just having fun.
Dobbel Dungeon was one that I immediately bought upon finishing the demo. It’s an adorable style, but I feel like the tactics are fairly deep? I’ve put in a handful of hours into it and am still rather enjoying it.
Hozy was another demo I really enjoyed. It’s like Unpacking meets House Flipper, kinda. Very cozy, feels good to play.
Vampire Survivors card game was also fun, but I’m not entirely sold on it yet. It feels like it needs maybe a little more work.
Loot -something? I’ve forgotten the title, but it’s similar to slay the spire and then resident evil 4’s loot system. Everything has to fit within your backpack, some items have bonuses to specific things. I had a helmet that would give thorns bonuses to adjacent plate armor, for example. Very interesting concept and I was having a lot of fun organizing my inventory. But similar to vampire Survivors, I felt as if it was lacking chew. But maybe I am comparing it too closely to slay the spire?
In any case, I had a lot of fun. It seems like this year will be a good one for games. :]
