Likely, although all votes are not counted yet. All while getting fewer votes than previously, so he was very beatable. It seems people were just not excited to vote for Harris.
Coincidentally, a woman has never been elected POTUS, and she shifted right to embrace “former Republicans” while shrugging off progressives. Total coincidence.
- Comment on Goddammit Texas! 5 weeks ago:
Definitely check voter registration. Quick and easy at state or county website. And register any change of address (along with updating ID, DL).
I usually remember to check about a month before election, or when I see a new illegal “voter purge” in the news (always GOP).
- Comment on Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare coming to PC October 29 1 month ago:
I laughed, but really it’ll probably arrive 1-2 years after consoles (but that felt like an eternity with GTAV). RDR2 took 1 year. RDR was said to be an impossible ^Undead Nightmare to port, but after 14 years they maybe kinda did it, baby! (We’ll see…)

At least MS account may be slightly more useful (OS, software, school, work). There is literally no reason to have PSN account except exclusives games on PlayStation.

Does anybody remember a decade ago when it leaked Microsoft has some concepts about restrictions on discs (used/shared), everyone gasped, Sony mocked them in a video about “sharing discs” on PS4 and became a turning point in the console wars?
Even a decade later: Remove discs at your peril! Half the reason I’ve even bought consoles is for Blu-ray movies (unbeatable AV quality). Sony won the fucking console and disc drive wars and it was still not enough.

But where does it end?! Next, they’ll want better health benefits or paid leave, AND 17G SUPER FAST MAGIC INTERNET THROUGH THE AIR! Please think of the poor shareholders…
- Comment on Is assasin's creed origins good? 2 months ago:
I think this is what motivates me to play AC games the most: They really integrate accurate locations and history into their story (with plenty to read and learn about in menus, and even tour modes). I was especially impressed with Origins (Egypt) and Unity (France). Haven’t had time to play newer ones yet.
- Comment on ‘Hold them captive’: Australian billionaire boss aims to end staff going out for coffee 2 months ago:
I think many people would like employers to stop wasting money (on stuff like amenities and activities that were not requested). Instead, make the job more attractive by listening and responding to actual concerns (like WFH, hours, wages).
- Comment on Is this just how it’s gonna be till Election Day? 3 months ago:
For things that look legit, for example seasonal political campaigns, and include in message something like “reply STOP to quit”, replying “STOP” does usually end it quickly. Recommended.
Should be one of the first things any anti-spam app/feature should be doing. Wish it was automated into OS spam defenses, then the “responsive human” worry would be eliminated.
- Comment on Is this just how it’s gonna be till Election Day? 3 months ago:
I thought this was the best course of action, too. It was not. New numbers, seemingly infinite, keep spamming me. They are political, seemingly real Democrat-linked entities (but I’m skeptical because this spam is obviously a brain-dead idea). After replying “STOP,” they definitely slowed.
- Comment on Artificial price increase so that you can post “discounts” on Prime Day 3 months ago:
I love Keepa, and the Firefox addon. However, they seemed to nerf their wishlist features (auto sync problems, 10 items max, etc). Noticed after missing deals, due to not receiving alerts of price drops. Still very useful, but CCC now has more reliable auto tracking lists (just add to wishlist, it will auto sync and email any drops).
- Comment on How my morning is going... 7 months ago:
Yes. Just FYI: All three have free “freeze” option, hidden somewhere (probably thanks to federal law). They also have very similar paid option, which they heavily advertise; That’s not the one. They do all require free accounts, but probably worth it to be able to freeze/unfreeze instantly online.
I just received “dark web” alert about SSN, phone, name, and email… that I only used at AT&T many years ago. So AT&T has definitely leaked our data as well. Add 'em to the list…

I hate ads, but these were beautifully done. And effective: I do indeed feel the need for some very long Sakeru Gummy candy. I wonder over how long these originally played out in Japan. Bravo.

- Comment on Why do all the new TVs expect me to have a platform AS WIDE as the fucking thing?? Fucking shit!! God awful absolutely dumb thoughtless design choice 11 months ago:
Exactly. I think an aftermarket VESA mount is pretty much required these days for modern TVs, that’s the bad news. The good news is that there are plenty of options (center base, wall, swivel, etc), some very affordable, and they should last for multiple TV generations (check VESA pattern, weight limits).
But I get that these tiny, wide feet can be mind boggling at first, since TVs all used to have center stands for decades. Finally, TVs got too large, the cost savings and stability from two tiny feet won out over the alternative of the large, heavy single center base.
- Comment on Rockstar Games regarding Grand Theft Auto VI 1 year ago:
My thoughts exactly. However, it excites me that Rockstar still managed to make RDR2, and it was a masterpiece. Even so, I never played “Online” MP mode, nor have I ever played GTA’s, and I hope they noticed, lol.
- Comment on Sean Strickland says quiet part out loud on UFC fighter pay, implies UFC censored him 1 year ago:
I wish these guys had the courage to unionize. It would drastically improve their pay. The highest paid stars need to lead and support the effort. Fuck Dana and co, they know it’s inevitable, probably just pleasantly surprised it’s taking so long. Happy to see Francis Ngannou free and doing well.
- Comment on Cyberpunk patch 2.02 now available 1 year ago:
The patch notes are just super-detailed, no need to worry about game-breaking bugs IMO. Finished once on 1.63, then added PL and 2.1 and finished all at 100%. No infuriating bugs, 4-5 clean crashes to desktop.
It’s probably the best game I’ve ever played, honestly. Incredible work that is now well-polished, even 2.0. First 20-40 hours felt a bit underwhelming, but by the end I was blown away. And 2.0 adds a lot of fun. At almost 250+ hours now, new game and choices, still wanting to play every day.
- Comment on I'm so glad I waited nearly 3 years to play Cyberpunk 2077, but I dread the fact that this is our new normal 1 year ago:
Very nice summary, thanks. I just recently started CP77, about 30 hours in now. My notes: The story and writing seems mostly excellent. (But not near the magic and masterpiece of Witcher 3.) Feeling that development was chaotic (pieces cut, rearranged, “montage” with Jackie was jarring.). World seems quite empty, soulless, few “layers”, unpolished. Car controls are not great, very “floaty”. Literally zero encounters with NCPD yet (lol). Bugs still apparent (floating cars, missing items), but nothing game-breaking. Graphics quite underwhelming (mostly very high settings at QHD 2K, but not able to use HDR or ray-tracing).
