I haven’t tried it yet, but their docs talk about proton, that makes me think it is a launcher.

The thing is… if this thing is any good, eventually someone will develop a plugin for Playnite and other launchers so that they can pull in games just like they do with commercial stores. This project is really interesting.

Yeah, some people don’t even bother with Plex or Jellyfin. It’s not for everyone. It’s for people that like to hoard their stuff long-term, and access their stuff from anywhere, anytime.

I collect them all, however none of the 3D ones are particularly gratifying for me. I enjoyed Sonic Mania. I also really wanted to like the one which is 2.5D 4 player coop, however it has some very serious balancing issues. The difficulty is all over the place.

I’ve been buying games on Steam since 2003. I still can play them all.
The only thing better than Steam is no DRM (GOG). Everything else doesn’t exist for me.

I use Lemuroid, it’s freaking great. I’ll try Mindustry, which seems to be also available for Linux on Flathub (very convenient).
Which begs the question… would you consider writing a post about FOSS games on PC?
Flathub is chock-full of great games that would greatly benefit from a little exposure, and it’s so vast and diverse that there’s a guaranteed varied selection for any genre.
It could even span 2 posts: the most popular ones & hidden gems. If they do well, there’s also game tools & launchers for games that nobody knows that are playable on the Steam Deck / Steam Machine / Linux.
With the imminent release of the Machine, I think these kind of posts would do well. After all, we’re talking about free games, 1 click away.
