Classic Microsoft, hire a competent person to make the unit great and then proceed to sabotage everything.

Sorry, I didn’t specify: PC, Bazzite Linux & Steam Deck to be precise.
Do these controllers have update able firmware? If so, do you know if it’s possible to do so in Linux?

what’s THE Chinese controller to buy nowadays ? I want something like a standard xbox controller but with durability, TMR, etc.

If you ever played a Spiderman game for that matter. I couldn’t finish Spidey Blue. So boring. Cool cinematics tho.

As always, wonderful write-up. Thank you and Gardiner!
So, yeah pretty much like distros: point release vs rolling release. Personally RetroDeck vibes with me a lot more than EmuDeck, everything they do emanates this “light side of the force” vibe.
And I’ll close with my classic: I’m patiently waiting for the day the fabled RetroDeck RomM integration is released to us mortals.
- Comment on Sega has canceled development of its ‘super game’, as it pivots away from live service games | VGC 2 weeks ago:
I tried the demo when it came out. Great game, but I got turned off by the level design. There were lot of times when I got lost and didn’t know what to do or where to go. And not in a good way, like on Journey, Abzû or Sword of the Sea, you can get lost and get rewarded for exploring but getting back on track is intuitive.

Unpopular opinion / downvote magnet 🧲
I haven’t fully enjoyed Sonic’s transition to 3D. The 2.5D & on-rails parts do work, but I don’t think the free roaming sections are as good as other 3D games, and I don’t know if it’s the speed to blame or the auto-aim or what is it that just doesn’t click with me as much as the 2D games did.
I really wish I could have fun with the newer titles but I haven’t be able so far.

- Comment on Pickmon to Pickmos 1 month ago:
I feel like it’s unstoppable for as long as Nintendo wants to keep their exclusivity. GabeN put it better: it’s a distribution issue, he was talking about piracy, but this is similar enough.
- Comment on It seems that Valve is working on a "SteamGPT" feature that will apparently deal with Steam support issues and is somehow connected to Trust Score and CS2 anti-cheat 1 month ago:
This. They have explicitly said that they are testing AI applications throughout the company and that it is not a concerted effort. It’s a few devs wanting to try it to see if it actually adds real value or not. That’s it.
- Comment on Castlevania: Belmont‘s Curse Gameplay & Commentary Trailer 1 month ago:
Absolutely. Every game with exploration must make movement enjoyable, or I won’t play it, because in those games a considerable portion of the play time you’re just moving around, if that aspect is not fun then the game is proportionately less fun for me.
I am absolutely interested in this one. Reminds me a bit of Mark of the Ninja in some of the movements.
- Comment on Castlevania: Belmont‘s Curse Gameplay & Commentary Trailer 1 month ago:
You might be a die hard fan. I have never finished one, I didn’t like the movement speed. But this one looks great to me. Maybe they are trying to sell it to a wider or younger audience?
