But I have to admit defeat here, Hochspannungsgleichstromübertragung does get abbreviated as HGU, so almost nobody would write Hochspannungsgleichstromübertragungsanlage but rather HGÜ-Anlage, even if Hochspannungsgleichstromübertragungsanlage is a perfectly cromulent word.
