- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
80€ is crazy nintendont games are just crazy priced and have fun getting one second hand games if nintendo allows it. 80€ for a AA game is much and a scam for a re released game because of a new poatform even tho old switch games should work.
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
Still 80€ is too much dont freaking accept this bs pricing
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
I mean especially as a parent do i want to waste 80€ for a game?
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
Dont even get me started on them, switch 2 is a cashgrab no discussion. The only new thing is a mouse…
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
I did that with the steamdeck dock its pretty awesome that it can run a higher resolution secondary screen with full hd and game on the side.
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
It will soon just wait.
If Nintendo allows you to play their games get not a switch ditch their platform with their 10 games.
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
I mean its so closed off it should be.
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
If i am honest i dont have any games that DONT run on. It can run cyberpunk, baldurs gate, a lot other AAA / Indie games.
If it doesnt run, the devs did something SPECIAL to f*ck steamdeck / linux users.
The suspend game feature is probably the biggest player, especially when its idle it doesnt use any power ( except of course the common battery drain ) in comparison to windows “sleep” it just blacks out the screen and maybe run a little less background tasks.
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
Toe to Toe? At least the steamdeck can run Crysis. Switch not, easy Steamdeck win.
Performance upgrade on a already locked on 60fps ( some 30 ) games? on default on a LCD display? That they didnt even considered default on OLED display is just … cash grabby.
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
and lost it after the Wii U.
Switch was the last in the line of “inovation” and now they go for the cash grab.
- Comment on Asus and Lenovo’s handhelds get price hike as Valve pauses some Steam Deck sales 1 week ago:
Would still get a 1k steamdeck over a 600€ still overpriced switch 2 with 80€ rereleased crap. With vulnerabilities found in the first week of launch.

Hi,
just for your information, only YOU (or admins) can still see the deleted sub. Purging is not necessary in this case as purging should only be the last resort option.
- Comment on How the Switch 2 compares to the ROG Ally 2 months ago:
Steamdeck stays my top 1 handheld. It doesnt have support scam, burning sd cards and too pricey + windows as default ( immediate -25% possible performance )
Steamdeck is just so much more usable with the touchpads, and its easily upgradable.

- Comment on Lemmy.world is blocked in UAE and you don't allow using VPN/Tor to post. what is the solution here? 2 months ago:
Could you elaborate that lemmy.world is blocked in UAE? you mean UAE is blocking lemmy.world or lemmy.world blocks your connection?
For now i suggest you using a federated instance like lemm.ee, discuss.online any that is federated with lemmy.world.
You probably know why we are blocking vpn/tor posting things.
- Comment on Lemmy.world is blocked in UAE and you don't allow using VPN/Tor to post. what is the solution here? 2 months ago:
We do NOT block login or viewing. We only block certain destructive / distruptive api endpoints abused for spam ( E.g. posting, commenting, registering )
- Comment on Can't upload images anymore 2 months ago:
If it works there arent any logs to send then. But i guess it was just some unexüected downtim eof pictrs
- Comment on Can't upload images anymore 2 months ago:
I think it was just a temporary outage, it works on my side. We will investigate what happened if it was an outage.
One thing you can check, are browser log, what exact message are you getting?
- Comment on End-To-End enshittified 2 months ago:
Yep, and it has no option to hide/disable it. ( At least the button, the chat you can just “archive/delete” it )
I already hat it so much even without interacting it. How much they push it.
- Comment on .world censorship? 2 months ago:
We dont censor words, thats just a way that lemmy works. On local its behaviour is not to censor it, rather block it. To not block federation, lemmy just censors it instead of ignoring/blocking the comment or post.
- Comment on How do you make a community on another instance? 2 months ago:
A issue with it, is that reports not at all / rarely federate on lemmy right now.
- Comment on TOS applicability to federated users 3 months ago:
Investigation doesnt mean like we check your browser or whatever, we check our instance ocasionally and check profiles if they break our TOS ( like any instance ).
Investigation is not always like we call the hounds on anyone like police and lawyers. You still interact with our servers, even tho its indirect, your federated user is still on our servers and with it your data. When your TOS doesnt apply to you then we would not even react to reports of you because “you are out of our teritory”, the TOS is a thing for YOUR rights and OUR rights.
We declare it just in a bit more legal way. But this just sums up what the most instances already do, but just dont declare it like lemmy.world does.
- Comment on TOS applicability to federated users 3 months ago:
We have commonly contact with law enforcement when it comes to CSAM, CP or any life threats against a user.
Like said if you dont want anything to do with lemmy.world, please dont interact with us, you can block our instance on newer lemmy instances in your settings. We can remove your content through a ban + content removal if you want it.
- Comment on TOS applicability to federated users 3 months ago:
But you interact with us. By “yout instance of your user” i mean the copy of your profile on our server.
We enforce the TOS equally between local users and the instances of federated users that got federated to us.
- Comment on TOS applicability to federated users 3 months ago:
Hi,
yes your instance of your user is subject to our TOS.
If you dont interact at all then of course not. We do this for the safety of our service, as any other server does ( as their server rules apply to federated content / users too ).

- Comment on US mediabias and Trump 2025 3 months ago:
I would guess if you want direct contact with mods of such communities, i recommend you the lemmy.world moderation discord. I can send you a invite over dm.
Its ok you made it here, but i personally would have done it in a news community ( in cooperation with the mods ) a pinned post about their experience or thoughts on this process.
- Comment on US mediabias and Trump 2025 3 months ago:
I am not sure, but i think you have the wrong community for this topic.
We already tried on making a “Bias fact check Bot aggregator” but it got… i would say best case not welcomed. Because some people were offended that their favorite News outlet got not favorable rating in one of the aggregated sources.
