  Correct! The newer models (including all OLED versions) were already patched from the factory (or more accurately, redesigned to prevent the soft-mod from working).

  While I’m not entirely sure about this reasoning, it might be related to the status of soy as a meat and milk substitute. Omnivores claiming that “soy is not meant for human consumption in the same way that milk and meat are” must have eventually been shortened along the way as “soy is not meant for human consumption”.

  Fun fact: I’m actually aiming to do just that someday. My work is mostly remote, so if I can manage to live just close enough to the city and with enough space to get my own plantation, I could feasibly live off the grid with only a subscription to the Internet
