Poverty draft IS a real thing
Ok. What share of the USian military comes from poor backgrounds?
living with my grandmother and mother in the same house
Same house or same apartment? If its the former, I struggle to see how you can claim to come from a poor background.
I was told that if I signed up for a 6 year enlistment I would go to college at Charleston University for 2 years, be able to have a 4 year degree after my service
You were told you would be at least defending the most evil polity in the world, one that is currently engaged in at least one genocide, all in exchange for a university degree?
Many people I directly worked with got in with waivers for criminal offenses and admitted that they would probably have ended up in the system and literally had no other options.
So, you are claiming that they wouldn’t even be able to stay in prison?
Do you agree that the rest of the world has a moral right to defend itself against such people, including by killing them, or do you think that these people take priority and should be allowed to contribute to invasions, genocide, etc.?

What info do you need? Sources for the fact that the USian military participated in the invasions of Iran, Yemen, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 1 hour ago:
The US military has been like this for decades
*Centuries
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 1 hour ago:
I’d like to know where you’re getting your info that all us military service members are murderers.
Genuinely, what do you think they do, especially with weapons like guns, tanks, bombs, etc.?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 1 hour ago:
Explain why you think that invaders of Iran, Yemen, Palestine, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, and many, many other places deserve better.
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 1 hour ago:
You don’t think some members may have joined before this administration
Oh? Which administration do you claim it was fine to join during?
Its not like you can just quit
They can always quit, unless they are cowards .
And if they have a family, are they supposed to just abandon them?
Why are you not as concerned about the families in the receiving end of their invasions?
Help me understand why it’s their fault they were told to do stupid shit with very little recourse.
Why did they follow up on doing what they were told about signing up to murder foreign kids?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 1 hour ago:
We all participate in unethical business
Incorrect. Far from everyone (who lives in NATO) does actual contribution to NATO’s colonialism.
and am angry about how my taxes are spent on it.
This is a backwards view on the matter. The government literally cannot run out of money. What taxes do is remove money from circulation. There isn’t really a difference between a government having taxed a sum of money and that government not having issues that money (apart from what people actually did for that money).
A lot of these sailors probably joined the military fresh out of high school with nothing better out there for them
Other choices being worse for these people do not make this choice morally justifiable. Surely you aren’t in favour of people taking random bribe simply on the grounds of the alternatives being less self-serving?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 2 hours ago:
do you treat criminals the same?
“Criminal” is a mich more wide group of people in the relevant sense. It includes people who are deemed such simply because of being of a “wrong race”, to people who do sabotage against the genocidal machine, to people who, indeed do some of the stuff that soldiers are very guilty of (strangely, you don’t seem to say that we should be ecstatic about people like Epstein and Maxwell).
A much better question would be “do you treat cops the same?”, but the military is still much worse.
The way you see military, many of whom are from low income without many means of survival,
Poverty draft is a myth. The USian military is mostly from well-off backgrounds.
Furthermore, if you can sign up for kidnapping and torture of foreigners for oil, you can find a different job.A criminal will steal or murder for similar reasons a person joins the military
So, you think that we shouldn’t speak ill of the likes of Epalstein and Maxwell, on the grounds that they were simply doing what the military does?
But yeah, if one intends to do kidnapping, torture, and murder for money, they can at least keep it to the Imperial Core instead of to foreigners.
So do you think they deserve humiliation and degradation?
These people that sign up to contribute to the most awful things that can be done deserve significantly worse.
Both are forced into making morally wrong choices
People who sign up for the USian military are not forced to do that.
but instead of anger at the system that creates these situations, you insult the people. It’s reactionary.
Do you think that insulting cops and ICE thugs is reactionary? Do consider that they do much less evil than the military.
So I see belittling them online as counterproductive to any type of coalition
If they are actually dependant, they understand why their former colleagues get such ire and would die with the victims and against said colleagues.

Poverty draft is a myth. The USian soldiers are almost all well-off.
All of them voluntarily sign up for the most vile activity one can do.Also, poverty and especially the often pointed-out desire to get higher education are not good exists to inflict poverty, torture and death upon non-white foreigners.
Also, do you think that the countries they invade have a moral right to defend themselves and kill these monsters, or do you side with the invaders and claim that these people should live?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 4 hours ago:
All food should suck for the soldiers of your empire.
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 4 hours ago:
Why are you pretending that they are poor, or that that is somehow a good excuse?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 4 hours ago:
They willingly signed up for engaging in colonial subjugation of the rest of the world, including by kidnapping, torturing, and killing non-white foreigners.
What do you think they had in mind?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 14 hours ago:
I bet you can imagine Russian soldiers in that position. Why not Americans?
Not the person you were asking, but pretending as if the USian/NATO military isn’t the most vile on the planet is silly.
There are plenty of places in the US where abject poverty reigns supreme
Notably, the USian “poverty draft” is a myth.
Factor in the ever present propaganda, and their fate was never their own, sadly.
You are excusing grown-ass monsters’ atrocities because they bought the propaganda as if they had no mind of their own to think that killing foreigners for oil is bad.
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 16 hours ago:
They have the option of just not going to college.
Or do you think I should be rewarded with more university by kidnapping, torturing, and killing your family?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 16 hours ago:
Nah. These bootlickers deserve much worse.
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 17 hours ago:
If you were working for the most vile military in the world and did not engage in sabotage, you at minimum contributed by freeing some other monster from doing your task instead of directly participating in an invasion.
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 19 hours ago:
What were the causes of the injuries, I wonder.
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 19 hours ago:
Most of the USian military is from well-off backgrounds and none are forced to join.
Also, do you support the countries that these people invade to lethally incapacitate these supposedly-desperate soldiers?
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 19 hours ago:
If you can join the most expensive military in the world, you are not nearly as desperate as, for example, people who survive in NATO without that.
Also nowhere near as desperate as the people whose countries NATO keeps invading. - Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 19 hours ago:
You are saying that it is okay to torture and murder foreigners for money (and college)
- Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 19 hours ago:
You either agree that the people your empire has been invading have a right to defend themselves by eliminating your ss troops, or you think that your ss troops deserve to survive and get higher education.
Which is it? - Comment on Food served to US service men & women. 19 hours ago:
Would it be okay, then, for me to rob, torture, and kill your family if it was the only way for me to get higher education (i.e. something that is not necessary to live)?
What about the families these monsters kill that won’t be able to receive higher education on account of being dead or kidnapped?
