I always thought gta series as a extreme parody on real life groups portraited by media.
Like, Vice City was a parody of those gangster and the media at the time, like Scarface or any of those 80s generic b movies.
San Andreas, was the rap and gangs , and those movies with drive-bys, ice cold executions and those shit (like “Don’t be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice on the hood”).
Those don’t supposed to have Shakespearean writing, but weird little pastiches from real life with good, and sometimes, amazing character writing

The combat is a bit stiffy, for me is the weakpoint on the game, maybe because i’m on the begining, but it feel like a sword version of Hogwarts Legacy but with mobility, not even when i played the first Kingdom Come Deliverance i feel the combat so dull, but still passable.
The story is pretty good, and the replay factor over the choices and consequences system will probably get me even more playthroughs than The Witcher 3, the graphics and art design are fantastic, among all this hyper realistic bullshit with the dlsuckass 5, i’m glad for that.
The exploration is divisive for me, as i love explore a well done and dense open world, looking for quests, loot, locations and interesting encounters, the fact of the time limit usually is a bother for me, i dislike this kind of system for limit my exploration (like the Dead Rising series), but i understand than that’s the game main mechanic.
My main complain would be about the time system also applies to skill learning, lucky someone will do a mod to solve this…

You’re not wrong in technical aspects, also in story, gameplay maybe not, but i definitively play way more 4 than 5.

To be honest, as much i despise the AI polemics over Lutris, is still the superior option for modded old games.
I tried migrate my Fallout Tale of Two Wastlands and Skyrim modlists to heroic (thank God OpenMW runs natively) and both failed spectacularly.
Skyrim didn’t compiled the CS shaders and Fallout wasn’t loading the reshade effects, i didn’t even bother in migrate the others (Ultima, Daggerfall, Saints Row 2, Fallout London).
I think then a native GoG launcher and MO2 port to Linux would be a better option, consider all my modable games, except Left4Dead 2 and Half Life Alyx, are from GoG versions
