No, they do a lot more beefing the scenes, running far more useful and necessary services.
Older computers couldn’t do as much as modern computers either.
Also the thing that almost no one send to have mentioned is that computers are multitaskers. People using a computer use multiple programs all at once while they’re all in focus. On phones that’s not the case unless you’re using a foldable or split screen, in which case it keeps those apps alive indefinitely without refreshing/closing. A phone is otherwise one app at a time, and any app that you haven’t used for a few minutes will get suspended so it doesn’t go back to the old days of Android’s battery life being absolutely atrocious due to apps running “full speed” in the background.

The operating system has to use that RAM too.

I’m not defending DRM you clown, I’m explaining to someone with the IQ of a dripping tap why no one does DRM free.

Such a massive success of DRM free titles that every publisher is releasing all their games DRM free now, right?
No? Why not?

I’m clearly more academically literate than you are, but nice try.
Your own link proves you wrong.

Your own link you previously posted says that they would have sold approximately 20% more, remember?
- Comment on Former Valve writer says PlayStation killing physical discs is no conspiracy: "You, the consumer, have made your choice, and the choice is for digital" 3 days ago:
And how much better would they have sold if they weren’t DRM free?
- Comment on Former Valve writer says PlayStation killing physical discs is no conspiracy: "You, the consumer, have made your choice, and the choice is for digital" 3 days ago:
That’s 100% what it’s saying though. If the drm is cracked within a week they lose 20% of their revenue……because of piracy. 20% of total revenue they miss out on because those people pirate the game instead of buying it.
- Comment on Former Valve writer says PlayStation killing physical discs is no conspiracy: "You, the consumer, have made your choice, and the choice is for digital" 3 days ago:
That right there says that piracy hurts gaming. A game with drm cracked in the first week can expect to lose 20% of total revenue. That’s a gigantic loss.

Piracy never has a benefit on sales. Where are you getting that from?
- Comment on Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC 4 days ago:
We don’t know how they’ll handle games that are no longer available for sale. I’d say they won’t be a focus, but will probably be available for those of you who already owned it digitally.
- Comment on Xbox Backward Compatibility on PC 4 days ago:
It’s clearly spelled out literally right after the announcement of the first 4 games.
Each of these games is now available for purchase on PC and also included with all XBOX Game Pass plans. If you already own a digital license for these games on console, that license now carries over to your PC or handheld.

So “none” is your answer.

This all started because you said that games on discs are digital games.

Incredibly dumb take. The PS5 is great value, and I say this as someone who doesn’t even like PlayStation.

given the AAA games that release on GOG all the time.
Why could you only name like 3 then? Which 2026 AAA games have released on GOG?

No, and I don’t know how you can’t understand this. Where do the GAME files come from?
- Comment on Former Valve writer says PlayStation killing physical discs is no conspiracy: "You, the consumer, have made your choice, and the choice is for digital" 4 days ago:
But the games people want to buy on steam aren’t on GoG, and there’s no Steam vs GoG sales charts for people to point publishers to and say “look! Look how much money we will spend if you go drm free on GoG!”.
Also there’s just no denying it, and even trying is disingenuous - a game like GTA 6 releasing on GoG without DRM would sell significantly less than it would in a platform with DRM. It’s just the truth. It would be on torrents and every download site the minute it’s released, and millions and millions and millions of people who were going to buy it would get it for free instead.

But they won’t because they’re already used to that on every digital service that they grew up using.

Sony are not killing physical discs on PlayStation because people on pc buy all digital - they’re doing it because the overwhelming majority of PlayStation owners buy digital games.

Technically no, they’re but supposed to be re-sold. Says so on box and disc.
DRM free means there’s no digital rights management, meaning there’s no ownership restrictions essentially.
GoG was also, reading between the lines, recently going to be closed. It was basically given to one of the founders of CDPR. Why would CDPR do that if it was making any sort of profit?
