It’s bad for regular folks. There are some people swimming in money because of everything you have mentioned.
Just the other day I have read that the USA has depleted most of its bomb stock in the Iran war and it will take years to replenish. Translation: weapon makers are guaranteed orders for new bombs at least for the next few years.

That’s a negligible difference. Also the sources might use different prediction models. The temperature on the apps is the predicted, not the actual temperature. Go to your local airport website for actual temperature readings (at that location).

Probably a once in a lifetime opportunity to use that thing, so any excuse will do.
- Comment on How are you using your laptop (with internet) that still runs Windows10? 6 days ago:
The laptop I received from work still runs win 10. I don’t think work it cares one bit, and I suspect I will get a win 11 replacement only if this one dies.
- Comment on The handle on one of our basically new kitchen knives MELTED in the dishwasher and fused to the heating element at the bottom. 3 weeks ago:
I wash my knives in the dishwasher all the time. Wood handles and riveted handles suffer, but plastic handles wash just fine. Stop buying shitty knives.

Normalize paywall.
You had to buy the newspaper to read the newspaper, so paying for a digital newspaper isn’t any different. Plus, people will pay a reasonable fee for good content.
Even the ny times has paying subscribers. This isn’t much different from Netflix. As long as the pricing is fair, and the articles don’t double dip by including ads on top of subscription, it will work just fine.
