Plastic cups are not all that prevalent anymore in homes here in Europe for environmental reasons.
Paper cups are used for drinking parties. But if we want to be inviting to our guests we serve drinks in glasses. Glass can be quickly cleaned and reused so no need to have hundreds of them.

You can usually go up to 220 ⁰C. It reduces the time to bake and that makes the pizza crust crispier and the topping less dried out.

Well, why not. In my country 40% of the workforce works 32 hours or less. It’s not always financially attractive to work full time, for instance if you have children at home you can combine part time work with your partner and avoid paying high childcare bills.

Powershell is starting to become more common. But simple directory listing is actually much faster in cmd as Powershell treats everything as an object while cmd just dumps the contents as text.

Ah ok, so that’s likely the difference then. Here the display at the self scan machine randomly decides to halt and wait for an employee at the moment you want to pay. And the employee has to rescan everything in that case. If you clearly shoplift you are reported to the police and you will receive a fine of several hundred euros. I don’t see how this can be seen as discrimination though, the machine doesn’t have eyes or ears, it only knows the products you have scanned.

How do you do that though… you have to scan every barcode and if you get chosen for a random check the shop employee will scan all codes again and you face the risk of being reported to the police for shoplifting.
Or does the US have some different system?

I understand the feedback because there’s no need to distinguish between gender when you are talking about something as generic as personal empowerment. The post is not about girls, it’s about human psychology.

Beta tapes are 480i, 720x480 interlaced
That’s more than enough resolution to clearly identify faces.

Not so sure about that. Actually tv in the '90s was not that bad. In terms of resolution it looked similar to 480p video, but without any artifacts. Furthermore due to the nature of how a CRT works, those tvs actually had less motion blur than flat screens.
