well let me know when star trek gets here. I’d love to take part, I just don’t live there yet.

Did you mean Airbus? I meant air bus.

It’s not really a trap, it’s how you get money to make big things happen. Obviously you can make big things happen through authoritarian means (like pyramids) but in a less authoritarian society, which I think everyone except the lemmy ml folks would say is good, the way you make big things happen is through borrowing money at the lowest possible interest rate. There’s a reason the fed rate is such a critical, newsworthy figure in our society – not just for the us but for many countries.

Oof, I guess every air bus carrier is going down the tubes

It’s not that opaque.

That is a horrible tldr.
A better tldr is lenders are looking at your current and past ability to pay your current, past, and predicted debt.
Nothing in that message has anything to do with better wages.

What is the context for this? Is this Ryanair?

Resort fees, I think, are usually a tax by the municipality. Not a hotel addon. However hotels have tons of fees so I may be mixing them up.

So you have something you don’t understand and can’t prove exists. Like a hallucination?
Tbh the rest isn’t worth responding to. Emotional connections? Come on, you’re a horny bag of chemical soup.

I don’t spend time working with LLMs. I’d agree we have additional features. For example I think while the computers currently can guess, we can guess and check in a meaningful way. But that’s not what the meme was about. I would argue the meme was barely about anything other than “ai bad, me smort”. Ironic since the LLM could probably make a better one.

Of course I do, that doesn’t mean we understand it.

The thing in the right is also a glorified prediction engine. I suppose whoever made this is steeped in religious dogma but humans aren’t that advanced either.

She does a good job of covering up the extra sounds. Maybe accents are easier for them because they just need to remove sounds from words rather than add them.

The Australian “no” is the only English word with all vowels in it. I learned this from Yvonne strahovski. She good teacher.

True, it’s just that there doesn’t seem to be a diagnostic for like, what’s the level of selectivity. For example the wiki says they have people go through a list of common foods and ask if you won’t eat it.
I personally am weird about food so I can readily see why this wouldn’t work well for someone like me. If you asked me “do you eat onions” I’d say no, but of course onion powder is fine and heavily caramelized onions are fine (think french onion soup), but I find shoving raw or undercooked onions in salad for example to be absolutely disgusting and I don’t know why people would do that. So I have a lot of rules, but the rules are specific preferences based on the specific, prepared item.
In contrast I also won’t eat any form of oysters or mussels or anything like that because I just find them to be gross creatures which is probably more akin to the neophobia thing. I’ve never had them and have no intention of doing so.
But push comes to shove this is really just: I don’t like one uncommon food and I don’t like some forms of onions. Which isn’t that restrictive. I know many people who call me picky, I just call it knowing what I won’t eat.
- Comment on Some people prefer corn for some ungodly reason 2 weeks ago:
Right…so it’s not defined. I don’t know the practical difference between “there is no definitions for this” and “there are so many different meanings that just saying picky eater is meaningless”.
- Comment on Some people prefer corn for some ungodly reason 2 weeks ago:
Ok, so it’s undefined
- Comment on Some people prefer corn for some ungodly reason 2 weeks ago:
Define “picky eater”.
I’ve had people who seem to think disliking any food makes you a picky eater. Those are often the same category of people I never want to see eating because they look like pigs at the trough, shoving food into their mouth at an alarming rate while almost forgetting to breathe.
But I don’t know many people who universally enjoy every food as an adult. So is everyone picky?
