At least for me, I think I figured it out. If you skip the ad (Paramount show preview, or whatever plays at the beginning) sometimes the play/pause controls will be wrong. It’s been a while since I’ve used it, but I’m thinking the progress bar is gone for how far into the episode you are. If that happens it’s not saving your watch status. You have to stop the episode and restart it.

Didn’t she get charged with felony murder. Which I also thought was not following what I thought starfleet stood for, but I wasn’t aware of the burn at the time I watched the episode, and I think they’ve done ok explaining the dark time starfleet didn’t live up to their ideals and why the captain quit.

All true. I also remembered that I actually bought 2 ps2 as I bought my girlfriend’s mom one for a dvd player for Christmas I think. The vhs to dvd was definitely a bigger jump than to blu-ray.

The ps3 was also one of the cheapest blu-ray players at the time. But I’m pretty sure the 2 launched for 3 or 4 hundred, not 500 or 600 like the ps3 so that probably put a damper on sales. I know I waited for the 40gig $400 ps3 version that gen, and the ps3 price is what made me buy a 360 initially instead.
