  I suppose “expensive” is a relative term. It’s expensive for me, especially when the alternative is free.

  I have used Kagi quite a bit, and while I love it, I stopped using it. 1. It’s expensive. 2. They don’t contribute to the open internet in any way. Its a closed product.

  If either of these things weren’t true I’d probably still be paying for it.

  There was definitely a time when professional athlete was hardly a career, and certainly not well paid. So for a time teachers and healthcare workers got paid more than athletes.

  Paypal had a 20% cashback thing going on when you use BNPL. I’m sure that contributed.

  I forget what the exact stat is, but something like 20% of Americans don’t get enough protein, 97% don’t get enough fiber.
