I have! But in a civilized country, not the USA. I do pay your salary when I go to the restaurant, yes. You are paid by the restaurant only because people go there and eat. Your salary is literally dependant on people ordering food. It is the service you provide, you are not a fucking independent contractor that I have personally hires to serve my table lol. You are on the restaurant’s payroll, same as tech support is on whatever company’s payroll. No tips for one, no tips to the other. A techy gets paid the same whether they spend 5 hours on a ticket and licks the customer’s dick, or if they spend one hour and are complete asses.

The tip is not their salary, it’s an optional gratuity. It doesn’t devalue shit. They should get paid a living wage, and that’s it. That or you better stop being a hypocrite and start tipping tech support as well.

Do you tip for the service for customer tech support or similar customer facing industries as well?

If you read the article, it does not say there has been a second wave or something targetting LGTBQ+ games. It is one person saying their comic was SFW and was delisted.
We should definitely fight back regardless, don’t get me wrong, but as of yet there has not been LGBTQ+ targetting.
The author of the SFW comic should contact itchio and ask why their game was deindexed, since itch did MASSIVE removal of all “adult” and NSFW content beyond what their payment processors asked, as to evade any issue and then reindex according to them.
Again, we should be alert, and we should monitor their firther actions closely, but it’s not time yet to cry wolf with the LGBTQ+ targetting.
