Worse, the fool knew the risks and had a much safer alternative, but did it that way anyhow just to flex. Extra dumb since his longtime colleague had died just 6 months earlier from the very same core.

Trucks are loud, and if they don’t hear scraping, they’re not going to hear shouting.
To be clear, I’m not trying to defend bad autonomous vehicles here - just pointing out that the dangers exist with any large vehicle. This is something that happens with trucks, so people should be aware.
- Comment on no eggs were harmed in the making of this video 1 week ago:
The “vehicle stuck under a big truck” thing happens with human drivers, too. If it’s in the driver’s blind spot, it’s gonna be there a while.
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 2 weeks ago:
That’s a quirk of the medium I’ve learned to accept. Some games do it well by having chunks of “on-rails” bits and others of “free-roam” based on what’s happening in the story so that it makes more sense.
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 2 weeks ago:
Biggest pet peeve of modern games is when the game repeatedly nags the player to go to the next mission or solve a puzzle. I like to explore games, to take the time to appreciate well made environments and lore, but when npcs or even the pc keep chiming in every minute with “[x] is waiting for me at the lab” or “I think I should [y]”, it starts to piss me off. Games are more than just sprinting from one objective to another. Can’t even take the time to fully look over a puzzle before the game starts telling you what to do next.
- Comment on Pet Peeves with Games? 2 weeks ago:
Games that offer stealth as an option over combat, but have mandatory combat bosses.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution was a great game, but this was a serious issue. The game has a (notoriously buggy) achievement for finishing the game without killing anyone, but every boss requires a loadout of lethal weapons to take down, leaving a minimum of slots for non-lethal alternatives. Very annoying.

Blocking a user only stops you from seeing them, not the other way around. They can still interact with your posts.

It’s gotten a lot better at big bold text. Look at the stuff in the box, though, and the newspaper print. Also, a lot of the figures are in nearly identical poses. That’s something image gen does a lot.

Making slop in “support” of artists. Oof.
- Comment on Clues by Sam 2 weeks ago:
So how did you decide there were only 2 guilties in column b?
So at the point just before your screenshot, the two clues that get highlighted for me are D3 and B2, which are the one’s I mentioned.
-
D3 is the clue that tells us there is only one innocent left to reveal around C4, meaning there is one innocent and one criminal between B4 and B5, though we don’t know which is which yet. And with B2 already being a criminal, B1 being criminal would give use three in the column.
-
B2 tells us column A is the only one with three criminals, so to fit all the clues, B1 has to be innocent.
I tried to indicate 1&2 in column d and it said I didn’t have enough evidence. That seems like a big problem in the intended logic.
For D1 and D2, we don’t have enough information before B1 is revealed because the options of them both being criminals or both innocent each fit the clues up to that point, making the choice a guess. After B1’s clue, the choice is clear.

D3 - Tom has 5 innocent neighbors.
4 are revealed, leaving one left between Sofia and Wanda, and the other must be a criminal.
- Comment on Clues by Sam 2 weeks ago:
Since I’ve gotten the hang of it, I’ve not encountered a puzzle where any choice was a guess. It certainly felt that way at times when I first started, though.
- Comment on Clues by Sam 2 weeks ago:
Spoilers
With the given clues, it’s known that there is a single criminal between Sofia and Wanda (b4 & b5). We also know the column can’t have 3 criminals, and it already had one revealed. QED, Bruce has to be innocent.

While I agree that the idea of dramatic, instant societal collapse is unrealistic, this person’s idea of a fulfilling life is clearly pretty toxic. Since when is “hanging onto clothing” a major problem? Or a group/country/society working together? And why is their sole concern “the American man”? All sounds too similar to those that claim pointing out problems in a society is communist/“reverse racist”/misandrist.

Nah. I’m sure SD had a similar development time, we’re just aware of it at this point, so it feels “delayed”.
It’ll be done when it’s done. Declaring it a lost cause just because the solo Dev hasn’t whipped it up in a year it two is misguided, to say the least.

- Comment on 2025 Game Awards Results Discussion 1 month ago:
It’s not ruining my day or anything, but the gacha game basically bribing their players to vote for them feels pretty lame.
And I mentioned it in another TGA thread, but for a 4.5 hour runtime, presenting roughly 10 out of 30 awards on stage with the rest being rapid fire announcements between walls of ads/trailers doesn’t feel great for an awards show.
Those two gripes aside, I did enjoy it overall. All the winners’ speeches were very sweet and nice to see, though clearly a rough year for most games not named Clair Obscur.
