That certainly was the intent. I just hated it. It felt like every run was doomed from the start until I managed to get through the seemingly endless number of runs that would be needed to suss out not just what every item did, but how they interacted. There were parts I really liked, but I kept putting it down because it just wasn’t fun. Once that daunting requirement was removed, I had a blast and played it a ton. I haven’t gone back to it in a long time and it still remains one of my most played games on Steam.

It is incredibly rare to see an Album anymore because people don’t listen to music as albums.
…what? This claim is so incredibly wrong, it slants your entire comment. Artists as small as you can get to those as big as Swift are still releasing albums. Just because you don’t interact with them doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

I strugglebused on BoI for a while, trying to force myself to experience it the “right” way and just hating it the whole time. Legitimately thought I didn’t like the game for a long time. Then I finally gave in and just looked up the items as I found them and that made it so much better. I played enough to get every ending, and I stopped worrying about “ruining” games by looking things up after that. Baring legit spoilers, I look up everything now. Turns out that knowing how the game functions is pretty important for enjoying it. Glad they finally got around to addressing that.

but I also feel kind of bad for the devs
Why? They chose the price. They obviously think this is better than a $60+ price tag for a reason.

Ah, yeah, I totally misread those screenshots. My mistake. Still not good, though. I take back that YDI, but yeah, not surprised they’re getting ghosted after all that.

What second coming? Terraria still has another update in the pipe.

I know nothing about manufacturing, but I wonder if/how it’s cheaper to do this rather than just printing on both sides.

Lol, YDI. When asked to provide the identifiable information, you just say “Stop and do the thing I want.” You seriously expect them to just hand over an account to someone who can’t provide basic information about it? You owned yourself, pal.

I’m in the same boat. I only ever used the site as an easy, hassle-free image host. When they steadily increased the hassle and included more and more ads, I stopped using it in the end. No clue that it turned into it’s own social media site, or how that even happened.
- Comment on ‘They stole my face’: Streamer claims The First Descendant ads used AI to make it look like he’s promoting it | VGC 5 weeks ago:
That’s the companies selling ad space. Those producing the ads should know what they are, and are responsible for the end result.
- Comment on Protester arrested over ‘Plasticine Action’ T-shirt: ‘How ridiculous is this?’ 5 weeks ago:
Yes, appropriating a call to end a genocide to protest generated content is pretty ridiculous. Cruel, even. And complaining when your appropriated symbol is mistaken for the original is asinine.
- Comment on Why is blue and pink traditionally associated with men and women? 5 weeks ago:
I mean, red and blue are 2 of the 3 primary colors in pigments, so that probably has something to do with it. Why yellow missed out, I have no idea.
- Comment on Have most people never seen a full starry night sky 1 month ago:
Was lucky enough as a kid to get to visit one of those giant, astronomical telescopes one evening. The astronomer got it pointed at what he called a “star cluster” and invited me to take a look. I expected, like, a handful of stars. Ten? Twenty? I saw more stars in that cluster than I’ve ever seen in my life, and it blew my little mind. It was stunning.

“You need to cut the fat so we can buy more companies that we will use as ballast just like you.”
Like, I get some companies will feel like they don’t have a choice if they want to stay open, but man…it really feels like a terrible idea to sell out to these people. They don’t care about anything except their own bottom line, and every asset they pick up will be used and discarded with that in mind.
- Comment on Slime Rancher 2 - Release Date and Physical Pre-Order Announcement 1 month ago:
I feel that doesn’t really apply for a game that’s been playable for several years now. It’s not a triple-A preorder, it’s just the physical relase for an early-access game.

It’d be really interesting if you played as the Cenobytes.
I do agree an all cutscene trailer tells use basically nothing. Does some good for tone setting though, I suppose.

Why would you answer the actual question anyway? That just means if someone knows the actual answer, they can get into your account. The question shouldn’t matter. It should be treated as a secondary/tertiary password.
- Comment on Stardew Valley dethrones Valve classic as Steam’s top-rated game 2 months ago:
To open the community center (the primary goal for the first year+) specifically takes quite a lot of money actually, and outside of talking with NPC’s once a day, money is necessary to get every other advancement I can think of. I agree that many players probably go too hard into trying to min/max things, but the game isn’t as loosey-goosey with costs as you suggest.
- Comment on Stardew Valley dethrones Valve classic as Steam’s top-rated game 2 months ago:
Sorry, I probably could have been more clear that I was referring more to people that play SD for irl years and have crops spread all across their farm. I can definitely sympathize with new players that spread out too much without the experience to know what that entails. Hell, I’m pretty sure did the same my first time playing. It seems petty natural to make that choice.
Fwiw, if you end up trying the game again, I found QOL mods really enhanced my enjoyment of the game, particularly the one that provided the option to change how long days were. Even just a 20% change really helped make the game less stressful for me.

For anyone that hasn’t seen it, Portal: Reloaded is a fan-made dlc that’s really quite good as well.

I never understand why anyone puts together those maybe farms. Personally, I always end up leaving the vast majority of the space unused. My farms only ever occupy the space directly in front of the house, and even that needs sprinklers asap.
