- Comment on LINUX is still HARD to install? 2 years ago:
Unless he's using Mastodon. Then the mentions are automatically added. Depends on the client he's using.
- Comment on Federation and its consequences have been a disaster for the fediverse 2 years ago:
That's an interesting point of view. Even though, you couldn't split the Fediverse into just 4 parts, in my eyes.
- Comment on What's your opinion about Discord? 2 years ago:
My experience over the last few years is that Discord in particular is used for organized cyberbullying, hate speech, blackmailing, badmouthing, as support seems to be more than absent. And if support ever gets back to you, you feel like you're in a German 'Media Markt': “That's not my department!”.
As an aside, almost everyone there seems to think they can make their own laws and ignore, for example, countries' privacy laws. Sharing screenshots from direct messages seems to be as normal as brushing teeth for many there. - Comment on OnlyOffice Android app now open-source? 2 years ago:
oh, nice. But sadly not usable with an existing ONLYOFFICE document portal CE. One can open the files from the portal, but it's not allowed to edit without a license 🙁

I know what you mean. Sadly, they don't stop on Twitter. Especially the ones mentioned in that link. They're blackmailing and badmouthing me on Discord, Twitch, DeviantArt and everywhere, where I could find an artist to commission for my D&D blog House of Teleyal. They're stalking, spreading lies to artists I never met. Twisting my words, faking screenshots to match their bullshit. They are so full of hate and agitation that they seem to have no time left for real hobbies.
I'm not sure about Mastodon either. The Mastodon instances that are blacklisted by this Lemmy instance were also influenced by them, and their administration and moderation shows that they are absolutely not thinking and not worthy to even hold a position with decision-making power. - Comment on Be careful with this Twitter users 2 years ago:
In my eyes, I would also add any artists "community" who are influenced by the lies and hate-speech that e.g. removed/removed spreads very intensively, like removed and removedArt.

- Comment on What is the reason that you joined lemmy? 2 years ago:
I was never a fan of Reddit. It was all somehow chaotic and everyone seems to play god in their moderated small worlds. A long time I was active in short message services like Mastodon and GNUsocial, but wasn't satisfied with constructive, topic based discussions.
With Lemmy, I got that software and forum, where discussions are directly sorted into topics, so I gave it a try and stayed. - Comment on 2 years ago:
For sure, they do. Just think about the Fediverse instances, which use Cloudflare and/or Google Analytics? They make it for the big player very easy to track you through the whole internet. Or Administrators who use a Gmail or Microsoft email address as contact, forcing users to send mails to tracking companies, when they have a question.
The easier it becomes to contribute a node to Fediverse, the higher the chance of idiots setting up their own instance, adding tracking from unnecessary providers. Either because they're stupid and think they know what they're doing, or because they listen to cranks who praise GAFAM like it's the best the web has ever had to offer.
