I wasn’t exactly homeless thankfully but lost my account through adresslessness and it took almost 18 months of relying on other people’s bank accounts before I was able to become independent. It becomes a ridiculous catch-22 very quickly, where you can’t get an account because you don’t have documents and you can’t get documents because you don’t have an account.

Children absorb language like a spknge because they are forced to by necessity. Moved to a Spanish speaking country and in three years I could run linguistic circles around any three year old. (half joke but you get the point hopefully)
