I understand and feel your frustration. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, though. And highlighting stories like this is only good, don’t you think?

I love the 3DS 3D effect. I had that shit on 100% of the time, and have missed it dearly.

I love retro gaming so much, and there are enough games out there from decades past to last a lifetime. (This, of course, depends on continued availability to this library via unofficial channels.)
There also are a vast quantity of newer indie games which don’t require high end hardware. I’d love to see a renewed interest in smaller scale projects.

I actually really like the new style. It has been divisive though.

Not long ago, I bought about 15 different little soldering kits on AliExpress for like 1-5 dollars each. Insyructions will be in Chinese, but that does force you to learn the more universal symbols in the schematics. Also, you can translate the Chinese with your phone.

Whenever I look at it, it just looks “comfortable.” I’m most familiar with C#, and I’m interested in some of the type features of Kotlin that are not yet a part of C#.

I feel weirdly drawn to learning kotlin.

I got a 5 when they were new, and I have been in love with it ever since. I’m sure the 6 is even better. I had been considering getting a 6 for the extra RAM for PC emulation, but, well… Not an option anymore. I’ll probably play games on the 5 until it falls apart.

- Comment on When people recommend Brave browser. 2 months ago:
I agree, I know why they do it and I can appreciate it, but it’s just not for me. I do not want my history and cookies cleared when I closed the browser, for instance. That is massively inconvenient and not really relevant to my “threat model.”
So I guess I wouldn’t say they are bad, but certainly not ideal for me.

- Comment on Is there a culture/country that doesn't have sarcasm in its language? 3 months ago:
Reminds me of a funny memory from the far distant past when a friend of mine, in a middle school Spanish class, expressed surprise that Spanish speakers use rhymes.
- Comment on Is there a culture/country that doesn't have sarcasm in its language? 3 months ago:
Sarcasm can be used to be inclusive to someone (I’m saying this thing we both know to be untrue, imagine thinking otherwise!) or derisive (I’m saying this stupid thing you’d probably think is true because you’re an idiot and I want to make sure you know it.) I know friendly people who do the former a lot and nasty people who exclusively do the latter. I wonder if the former is more difficult to achieve among a foreign culture with a second language.
- Comment on Is there a culture/country that doesn't have sarcasm in its language? 3 months ago:
Even in English, sarcasm can be delivered very dryly in a way that would be undetectable without knowing context. It doesn’t need to be spoken with exaggerated tones.
- Comment on close to finishing Super Mario Odyssey and was wondering which games are similar 4 months ago:
Yooka Replaylee (the enhanced remake) is a lot more like Odyssey is you ask me. More expensive, of course. I really liked it after trying, and quitting the original.
