I was kinda hoping for the last 2 years. at my most recent ex workplace we had to manually apply every update (website basically) via rdp/teamviewer or whatever. So it would’ve been relatively nice to use the rdp tool which allows you to group and save your connections, if it wasn’t for the simple fact, that this application would crash your system‘s Explorer every time meaning you can’t copy shit. So i checked again and again and sure enough instead of fixing this one not that minor bug, they completely abandoned the application in favor of the windows app which our system administrator would’ve had to configure first, so it would not work at all. Thankfully I don’t have to cosplay as a ci anymore so all things considered nah I’ve stopped waiting for anything from ms. As you said it’s not worth it.

Replacing some code/bug that‘s been present since xp probably would be my second guess.
I’m still waiting(but not really) for them to fix the rdp app(msstore) but instead they killed it and now we have the „windows app“. What the fuck is even that backwards nondescript name.

The old app borks the clipboard and the complete explorer on my system at work. It’s gone unfixed for like 2 years. And the windows app is not configured for our company yet, which means I can’t even use it.

you know those small pictures we call „thumbnails“ well because … thumb … nail … and they are all made for exactly that size.

Smart. I’ve always wondered what it does. does it work with the alt + space shortcut for alt gr if I’m missing altgr or any right alt on my keyboard ?
- Comment on The inconsistent naming for insert row/columns in the German MS Office 4 months ago:
I use Macos/linux at home and win at work. And all with the same keyboard, because it has a dedicated macOS and win/normal mode. And yeah, the us intl. keyboard works across win/Linux, but I dislike having the hyphens key as a dead key so i only really use it at work where I can’t skip umlauts. In private I don’t really need them and should the day come I’ll copy them from ddg or something.
- Comment on The inconsistent naming for insert row/columns in the German MS Office 4 months ago:
Commenting lines works out of the box on qwerty, whaat . And for the Umlauts i have it set to using the dead key layout because it is tkl and has no right alt key. And I didn’t know that you could emulate alt gr with alt+space. Thanks!

This even works for keyboards. Many shortcuts that use the /-key for example didn’t work before I started to use qwerty instead of localized keyboards.
