This is apparently a game made by some of the old guard at BioWare.
Reminds me a bit of Andromeda mixed with ME1. Less focus on being part of a military organization from what I see.

I liked Andromeda.

Rest in peace Mass Effect.
Old BioWare did splinter into Archetype and are working on “Exodus.” I am not yet sold, but looks more like a harder sci-fi, since traveling at near FTL is actually one way time travel.

I accidentally found this when I was searching for the ending.

Tap for spoiler
I just watched an edited version of the ending video on YouTube. Basically this family is trapped in a supermarket and terrified of a giant kaiju-type bug attack going on. The story revolves around the groups of people at the store trying to survive. Immediately after this screenshot in the meme, the father kills his entire family, leaves the car, and sees a MASSIVE caravan of military personnel escorting survivors out of the titular mist and using flamethrowers to burn away the bugs and mist. Most of the folks from the supermarket are seen in these trucks.

My old boss was a backer back when he had a young child.
That child is now in high school.

This seems like the best option. I didn’t realize how expensive electric lawn mowers were these days!
- Comment on Why are they even doing this, the grass wasn't even that tall 1 month ago:
I had an electric mower, I always hated the cord and it was a real cheap thing with a very small footprint.
It got the job done, but instead of taking 15 minutes it took me 30.
I’ll invest in a nicer electric one once my current gas powered one dies for sure.

It could be a whole host of reasons to be fair.
I’m pretty bad about letting my grass get long, but the only reason I would ever mow before 10 am is because I don’t want to get too hot.

Lack of Split Screen open world was such a bummer.

Me neither. It went on sale recently for 18 bucks and I missed it by a few hours. It went back on sale today and I grabbed it. Haha.

That’s a great read. I finished the most recent book a few months back. Just yesterday I started listening to the audiobook version haha.

I finally picked up Stray!
Literally just started that a few minutes ago actually. Really good first impressions. The cats are very realistic. So much so my dogs were having just as much fun as I was watching me play haha.

I saw this on instagram weirdly. It was a scene grab of a Reddit post that was tilted 60 degrees or some nonsense.
I can only think they do it do people can’t identify the source website or that the post doesn’t get flagged as a repost?

Shitposts on Lemmy are basically just post whatever you want.
Sometimes it’s beans, sometimes it’s moth, sometimes it’s highly specific nostalgia. Also a lot of trans rights stuff (happy pride, btw).

It’s funny you say this, because for 500 bucks I am actually debating between the two as my Christmas present to myself this year.
I think I’d prefer a Steam Deck for no particular reason. 🏴☠️

I haven’t even hit act 2, but I am having a really good time.
Playing on expeditioner (normal) and have been having fun with the combat system - some boss fights require practice.
Soundtrack is incredible. I find the soundtrack a little loud compared to the voices on occasion, however, and had to turn this down a smidge.
The story is also well set up in Act 1 from what I can tell.

I’ll have to check with mine. I know they have a ton of DVDs and Blu-Rays. It’s pretty much the only reason I keep my PS4 around at this point.

Yeah I’d be suspicious of that too.
I mostly just give a brief rundown of where I’m from, my majors in college, that I met my wife in college, and a blurb about my pets and kids. Oh and usually something vague about my job as well.

On the flip side: I have my sad tragic backstory down to a science. I can blow through it in like 3 sentences because I get asked so often about how much I make, how long I’ve been ubering, my marital status and my 4 different majors in college (I live near a college town, so this comes up often once they discover I’m an alum).
