Executives, surely the most valuable assets for a company. Who would reorg and layoff without these underpaid geniuses?

I don’t like non elected not natural born citizens to have free rein on our institutions. More powerful than the president, but not eligible to be president. You did not answer the question.

Do you think letting a foreign hatchet man loose on the government to hack it up any way he wants is the way to fix government corruption and waste?

Removing aid and oversite will have predictable consequences. Conservative motivations align with the predictable consequences, so it’s not a stretch to say that people will suffer because of this. You can’t have proof of something that hasn’t happened yet, but you can definitely predict. I would love to be wrong.

There would be less funding for schools, especially low income, special education, and rural. Less funding means more uneducated children. That is one example, but the DOE manages grants and loans, oversees civil rights and access, and national education standards and data. These are things that increase education accessibility and quality.

I didn’t say schools were being shut down. I said that it will result in children being increasingly ignorant. Why do you think that they are shutting down the agency that regulates schools, to save chump change?
- Comment on Trump Calls for Department of Education to Be ‘Closed Immediately’ 1 week ago:
Not magically or suddenly, but deliberately and surely. Do you really think this is about saving money? Wtf do musk and trump care about government efficiency?

It’s more of a minimum requirement for many jobs. It sucks, but I think you’re viewing it wrong. It’s not going to get you anything except maybe keep your resume out of the trash.
