I should have said, I’m Australian. When I was assaulted in my own home by feral kids (really bad neighborhood), the police were there within 20 minutes, and all three got taken to Child Services (yeah that kind of neighborhood where the parents aren’t really anywhere.) When I was assaulted in public, near a tram stop, two Authorised Officers (Rail Police type thing, but not armed, only handcuffs) got the people responsible for it, and they were transferred to the police. I was told by an obviously unwell person that they would stab me and my eyes out. Authorised Officer removed them from the train. I could go on. I’m from a country where this isn’t such an issue with police being violent towards anyone. (If someone here wants to bring up what happened recently in the Northern Territory, it’s pretty obvious how that was started, and I have no intention of having an argument with you. Coles sucks, but that man got physical first with the employee.)

That’s actually a delusion but ok lol. I guess the solution to being robbed/murdered/kidnapped/raped is not to call any sort of LEO and just to "‘talk it out’

I like seeing the up-n-coming consoles, and emulation becoming easier again :D Loved the Steam Delivery Girl mascot, she was very cool, and seeing what she would look like IRL is very interesting.

My recommendation for a basic piracy-friendly (to a degree) ereader is one of the old Sony’s, second gen usually.

In Australia too. I was in Gatton, Queensland, at their Library, and they had signs up warning people to basically go pound sand, the library is not a censorship authority, and that they will not remove books based on “religious morals”, in the LGBT pride section, and a similar sign, lacking the morals bit in some of their conspiracy theory books. And Gold Coast Libraries stocks some of the weirdest conspiracy theory mags in the planet.

1000% agree. Those who deny genocides such as the Holodomor, Nakba, Holocaust disgust me. It is so infuriating to read about the horrors, people being shot in their homes, trying to eat grass for food due to malnutrition, and dying of horrible preventable diseases, and then see that Alan Jones thinks “It was a false flag operation to advance the secret societies controlling the world”, etc.
