- Comment on What are the possible ways a computer can kill you? 2 weeks ago:
Fire If you ignored the smell, maybe your house would burn down.
Electrocution If you for example tried to disassemble your power supply while it was in use.
Blunt trauma If you have a big computer on a shelf it might fall and land on you. This is especially dangerous if you’re a data hoarder. It’s a slippery slope that can result in you scalping stuff like old VCRs for drives. Your computer might get very heavy.

That’s not the official site. It has an old version (July 2024) and the file might contain malware. You can safely download the latest version from GitHub and find their updated guide there.
If you don’t want to use Github, you can use the site they have linked to which is smarttubeapp.github.io
- Comment on MSN doesn't work in IronFox whatsoever 3 weeks ago:
Do you use any extension for disabling referrers? This may also be disabled by default in IronFox, but this is just guessing. I haven’t tried IronFox. It would make sense though. I do it on lots of webpages.

- Comment on Are Swearing In Ceremonies Over Yet? 4 weeks ago:
You can reduce some of it, but not filter them out entirely. The closest would be to add for example Donald, Trump, Elon, Musk to the title filter, but titles like “Are Swearing In Ceremonies Over Yet?” would not to be stopped by the filter. You can add specific communities, domains and users if they post about Trump and Musk, but you would end up missing huge amounts of posts that is not related to Trump or Musk. And it would still not be very effective.
- Comment on Anon's date has a third degree burn 5 weeks ago:
Wonderful! I hoped that would happen. That was why I linked an article from a well known paper that explaines it in such a way that everybody (not just doctors, nurses, etc.) can read about it. I thought that would be better than asking you to trust a stranger on the web.
Not my first language btw. I don’t know what to call people that work with sick or hurt people.
- Comment on Anon's date has a third degree burn 5 weeks ago:
It’s an old and widespread myth. I think many people continue to believe it because it’s uncomfortable when the skin/wound under a band-aid gets moist. I only learned that it is bullshit because my mom (a nurse) told me when I tried to do it as a kid.

Fake: Letting a wound breathe slows down healing and would not be recommended by a doctor.
Gay: Anon grabs someones spraying limb at the drive-in.

You can stop this by changing the settings in your browser. In Firefox go to about:config and search for browser.navigation.requireUserInteraction and toggle it so that it says true.

Go to about:config and set “browser.navigation.requireUserInteraction” to true

- Comment on I did not want to hear anything from these people, please get out of my life 2 months ago:
You shouldn’t give out your real email address. I instead use randomly generated email addresses that forwards emails to my real one. I can easily deactivate any forwarding email address and therefore stop any unwanted emails.
It works really well and also has other benefits like for example knowing who sold your information if you start receiving spam.
You also gain a bit of privacy and security from being a tiny bit harder to track and your credentials being less valuable in the case that the company you gave the random address to has a data breach.
This video explains the concept very well.
