That’s a good point, I was just thinking it was something about the millennium / year 2000 and onwards. Not sure if there was any lore at all or if I just didn’t understand it since the game is from South Korea originally.

There is a MMO called Metin2 which has been really popular in the 2000s. No one knew why it was called 2, if there ever was a 1 or will ever be a 3.

Unity is easy for beginners (that already know C# or at least Java) and has a really mature ecosystem. Unreal seems to be harder to get into but a beast in regard to possibilities.
I have used Godot last year and their own language is kind of neat. Similar to python with the added bonus of a type system (not mandatory) and a lot of paradigms like OO and functional patterns supported out of the box. Their IDE also got better / more stable over the last years (especially after the Unity fuckup).

My favorites are 2 and 3. 4 was OK. 5 was garbage. Haven’t played 6.
- FC2 because of the kind of “horror” element being thrown into a oppressive and immersive open world.

I love that the people here take AI slop seriously. It might be a long way from this to shrimp Jesus or whatever else the fuck is going on e.g. at facebook for now, but I’m afraid the ignorance / acceptance as well as the inability to tell the difference will rise gradually.
