- Comment on Why isn't Putin receiving the same level of hate than people like Trump and Elon are? 4 weeks ago:
Oh sure, go into Moscow and hold up a sign protesting the war in Ukraine. See what happens.
- Comment on Is there an obvious technical reason why the major email services (Outlook, gmail, etc) can't seem to limit recipients' from Replying-All? 4 weeks ago:
Better than BCC is using a Distribution List with restrictions on who can send to it. Helps see who else got the email, without blowing up with reply-all emails. Obviously this only works in a corporate environment where distribution lists can be restricted.

Don’t forget about the human ability to literally chase an animal until it collapses with exhaustion. Humans are literally the monster from It Follows.

I haven’t watched that yet. Thanks for another add to my watchlist!
- Comment on Hollywood industry in crisis after strikes, streaming wars 2 months ago:
I disagree, but my understanding is that the Paramount decree ended in 2020, so I guess yay for vertical integration. Allowing this ownership and no restriction makes the situation worse. If I want to watch show/movie X, there’s only ONE platform I can watch it on. Compare that to music and there’s more of a choice.
- Comment on Hollywood industry in crisis after strikes, streaming wars 2 months ago:
You mean Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, etc? Production companies owning streaming companies should be as illegal as production companies owning theaters.
- Comment on Hollywood industry in crisis after strikes, streaming wars 2 months ago:
Open up catalogs to all streaming platforms like the music industry and maybe there’s a chance. I’m not subscribing to a dozen
channelsstreaming services to see everything. - Comment on Indie movies are having a surprising comeback in a bleak time for Hollywood 2 months ago:
Longlegs was a surprising movie. Not incredible, but it was a fun watch. Nick Cage is certainly having fun with some of his recent movies.

Good, can Hollywood stop pandering to the CCP now?

With that guys constant use of “boy” I can absolutely see him flying a confederate flag.
Anyone else notice how he looked drunk? He stumbles/loses balance a couple time reaching into his car. Why no sobriety test?

Not multiplayer, but Green Hell is also fantastic.

Not sure it’s steam deck friendly, but The Talos Pinciple (1 and 2) are both great puzzle games.

- Comment on Why are fuel perks at grocery stores so ubiquitous? 5 months ago:
Out of curiosity, do you only pay cash when you’re at a grocery store? If not, all your purchases can be aggregated and a corresponding consumer profile built.
- Comment on Life By You devs spent “a month in purgatory” prior to closure, says laid-off designer, despite their sim-like exceeding Paradox's expectations 5 months ago:
Sad part is that if they had just released the game as “Early Access” and didn’t bullshit so many of the underlying economy simulation aspects, it wouldn’t have been such a disaster.
- Comment on Galacticare Has Got That Old Bullfrog Spirit 6 months ago:
I found it to be way too similar to Two Point Hospital, but somehow less engaging. The overly silly theme just didn’t do it for me unfortunately.
- Comment on Is lemmy now what reddit used to be 10+ years ago? 6 months ago:
I feel like Lemmy has WAY more crazy political views, like extreme leftist and BoTh SiDeS people. That’s probably more of a symptom of Russian propoganda across the wider Internet that wasn’t as prevalent 10+ years ago.
- Comment on Trump Leads in 5 Key States, as Young and Nonwhite Voters Express Discontent With Biden 7 months ago:
You’re just a Russian troll or a useful idiot for them. With the general election, anything but a vote for Biden helps Trump.
