Is is open source though?

RSS should become popular again. There are great clients for all platforms, even iOS:
- NetNewsWire (iOS/macOS)
- Read You (Android)
- RSS Guard (Linux/Windows)
I also recommend using the Awesome RSS extension in Firefox/LibreWolf to quickly see if a website has an RSS feed. It also works in Firefox Mobile/Fennec/Mull.

Seems a little contradictory to me

dbzer0 is another one. It’s an anarchist instance to be precise. @AbsoluteChicagoDog@lemm.ee
- Comment on New Playstation firmware is going to make it harder to play games offline. 1 month ago:
It is a PC. In fact, a good PC. It runs Linux. But it’s better than a ordinary Linux PC, since it also has an amazing console UI that’s actually fun to use with a gamepad. It’s the best of both worlds, and it’s build on top of FOSS software. It’s excellent.
- Comment on [Tom Warren] The PS5 Pro still hasn’t sold out in the US or UK. Looks like the $700 price point will mean this console will be readily available this holiday 1 month ago:
Yeah why would anyone pay 700 bucks for a highly restricted device, that can’t even play games online without an additional subscription. Just get a Steam Deck, which costs less, is portable, doesn’t require subscriptions, and basically works like a full PC.

You could even set up a cron job for it, or (at least on Arch) create a Pacman hook that runs

Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but switch to Linux and use Piper, a free & open source replacement for the Logitech software, that was created because they don’t offer an official version for Linux
- Comment on Youtube's War on Adblock Got Worse 1 month ago:
That’s exactly why they fucked with the extension update mechanism in Manifest v3. Thankfully Firefox exists and will continue to support MV2.

- Comment on How come Israel don't use Mossad to take out all of the Hamas leadership similar to what they did after Munich? Would this not be better than bombing stuff into oblivion? 2 months ago:
The goal is not to destroy Hamas. This is a ridiculous excuse. Their true objective is to remove all the Palestinians from their homes, so they can occupy the land. Israel is a fascist, imperialist actor that tries to manipulate everyone through propaganda distributed through international media.

- Comment on Ubisoft are adding offline modes to The Crew 2 and The Crew Motorfest after getting savaged over junking The Crew 2 months ago:
What about… you know, adding an offline mode to the original The Crew? That’s where it’s actually needed the most, since they decided to shut down the servers?
Or just stop killing games in general. www.stopkillinggames.com

Crab Champions
Crab Champions is a fast paced PvE shooter with roguelike elements. You basically are a crab and fight through multiple waves of enimies. You collect loot to become stronger, and there are fun boss fights. It supports co-op multiplayer, and is made by a single indie developer.

That honestly seems like a pretty fucking good idea to me. If you are a dumb republican who can’t make the right choice for his country’s leadership, just don’t vote. Here you even have your moronic presidential candidate telling you this.
- Comment on Can anyone suggest some good co-op games for two people? 2 months ago:
You can play Stardew Valley in multiplayer co-op mode, it’s also quite cheap at $14, it’s available on every platform and even has excellent Linux support
- Comment on How is Lemmy better than Reddit? 3 months ago:
It’s not controlled by one single entity. Everyone can spin up their own instance and host their communities, and you can block instances that deserve it. And the software is completely open source and stuff, and it obviously works with all kinds of third-party clients and doesn’t try to monetize the API. And we don’t have spez, so that’s of course another benefit. And no ads! I could go on and on…
- Comment on What the fuck happened to YouTube!? 3 months ago:
MV3 only applies to extensions. Brave’s adblocker is implemented in their content filtering engine, which is part of the browser itself. This completely bypasses the extension system.

Unfortunately, yes. They’re commonly found on tankie instances like lemmy.ml, lemmygrad.ml and hexbear.net. But you can block these instances in your account settings.

Did you use normal chromium or Ungoogled Chromium? I tried it on the Arc Browser (which is based on Chromium), and it worked, but it didn’t work on Ungoogled Chromium.
