Wait so the “great firewall” doesn’t block Proton VPN IP addresses? That’s interesting.

Proton works in China if you set the protocol to “stealth” in the setting
With or without alternative routing?

You can also run a full Tor relay: community.torproject.org/relay/setup/guard/
There are tutorials on YouTube:

You can use this FOSS tool to automatically claim those games.

Some even work pretty well on Linux using the Heroic Launcher.

RSS should become popular again. There are great clients for all platforms, even iOS:
- NetNewsWire (iOS/macOS)
- Read You (Android)
- RSS Guard (Linux/Windows)
I also recommend using the Awesome RSS extension in Firefox/LibreWolf to quickly see if a website has an RSS feed. It also works in Firefox Mobile/Fennec/Mull.

- Comment on New Playstation firmware is going to make it harder to play games offline. 3 months ago:
It is a PC. In fact, a good PC. It runs Linux. But it’s better than a ordinary Linux PC, since it also has an amazing console UI that’s actually fun to use with a gamepad. It’s the best of both worlds, and it’s build on top of FOSS software. It’s excellent.
- Comment on [Tom Warren] The PS5 Pro still hasn’t sold out in the US or UK. Looks like the $700 price point will mean this console will be readily available this holiday 3 months ago:
Yeah why would anyone pay 700 bucks for a highly restricted device, that can’t even play games online without an additional subscription. Just get a Steam Deck, which costs less, is portable, doesn’t require subscriptions, and basically works like a full PC.

You could even set up a cron job for it, or (at least on Arch) create a Pacman hook that runs

Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but switch to Linux and use Piper, a free & open source replacement for the Logitech software, that was created because they don’t offer an official version for Linux

That’s exactly why they fucked with the extension update mechanism in Manifest v3. Thankfully Firefox exists and will continue to support MV2.

- Comment on How come Israel don't use Mossad to take out all of the Hamas leadership similar to what they did after Munich? Would this not be better than bombing stuff into oblivion? 4 months ago:
The goal is not to destroy Hamas. This is a ridiculous excuse. Their true objective is to remove all the Palestinians from their homes, so they can occupy the land. Israel is a fascist, imperialist actor that tries to manipulate everyone through propaganda distributed through international media.

What about… you know, adding an offline mode to the original The Crew? That’s where it’s actually needed the most, since they decided to shut down the servers?

Crab Champions
Crab Champions is a fast paced PvE shooter with roguelike elements. You basically are a crab and fight through multiple waves of enimies. You collect loot to become stronger, and there are fun boss fights. It supports co-op multiplayer, and is made by a single indie developer.
