Botw is the greatest game ever.
Statements like these sure as shit ain't gonna help your case. I've seen a few videos of the game and it looks just about the same as every open world game with an emphasis on exploration - with shit graphics. Let me know when the game releases on pc and i can actually try it though.

As long as you keep using the console you're still in the walled garden, you're still giving them data to harvest, being exposed to their ads, padding their MAU numbers... Server costs are negligible - it's what allows F2P to work as a monetization model.

Once the RTS is done they'll fork the engine to make Grim Dawn 2.
If they have any money left... RTS games aren't exactly a safe bet these days.
- Comment on Xbox needs to make a choice, says former PlayStation leader Shawn Layden: be a publisher or a platform, but you can't be both 2 weeks ago:
Pretty much every platformer is both, except linux maybe.

Path of exile 2 was at its hardest in 0.1, at this point it has fully embraced power creep and it's going in the same direction as poe1, less challenging content and more clear screens with 1 button to get loot.

Do you really own your game if it can be unilaterally taken away from you ? Copyright law is fucked and the software industry is happy with the status quo - no owning a license that's behind dozens of pages of TOS is not owning a game.

Nobody's giving you a perpetual license to anything, even GOG, any license you're "buying" (this keyword is actually not allowed on stores like steam for exactly this reason) can be revoked at any time for whatever reason they want.

It's unlikely that whatever issue you're having with your games is because of the desktop environment.

Ventoy is probably not the best thing to recommend.
- Comment on Among 2025 games with over 10K reviews, Deltarune is the most highly rated 6 months ago:
Steam reviews aren't really a good quality metric, a 6/10 game can have 95% ratings, it's the rotten tomatoes of video games.

The problem about being active, is that the moment you stop you'll put the weight right back on. Most people don't take up going to the gym for decades, it'll last a few months, maybe a few years. Long term weight management needs to be about food intake.
- Comment on Anon has a realization 2 years ago:
In fps games ? Absolutely. By adding a limit you're telling your player to use it, or lose it. Gotta protect players from themselves.
Unfortunately it's hard to apply to some types of games, like crpgs which are notoriously bad at giving random shit that you might one day need. - Comment on Anon has a realization 2 years ago:
This is a game design failure, it's why max ammo is a thing.
- Comment on Overwatch 2 season 10 will make all new heroes free, Blizzard announces 2 years ago:
Obviously they made the announcement at an opportune moment, but blizz wouldn't be making this change if it didn't coincide with their bottom line.
- Comment on Overwatch 2 season 10 will make all new heroes free, Blizzard announces 2 years ago:
I don't see the correlation between those and making new heroes free. Maybe as a way to douse the community flames.
I think it's simply because people want to play the new content. While some will cave and buy a battlepass, it doesn't offset the losses of the grind and paywall that stops people from coming back and investing to begin with. - Comment on Overwatch 2 season 10 will make all new heroes free, Blizzard announces 2 years ago:
It's a good change for sure, but the cynic in me can't help but think they're doing this solely because they believe it'll make them more money in the long run.
