Heya, saw this and thought of our conversation.

I saw a bonfire with a calculated pallet cost of $100k. That’s something. Fireworks are a big part of the bonfire celebration and put pollutants into the lower atmosphere. The example I gave is more firecrackers being used at street-level.

I was pointing out that fireworks were being used in a way that lowers the local air pollution for residents, for days, not just the evening. You can say ‘barely registered’ but I’ve shown you a clear case of it very much registering in terms of effects on local populous.

Inner-city long-term effects, right there.
- Comment on Are Tetra Paks actually recyclable? 5 months ago:
Mate, if you don’t actually know then don’t just make stuff up. Virtually everything you wrote is wrong. (Except if you live in a 3rd world country like america). Massive levels of recycling in Europe. The process is also about reducing waste going to landfill, as well as reducing the need for raw materials.

- Comment on Don't you all get tired of the constant negativity? 6 months ago:
Part of the purpose of any media is to illicit a reaction. In print media especially news, the “art” of writing has been distilled down to this because it is a easy way to garner views which in turn drives advertising/product sales. It’s been shown that even negative publicity drives engagement without long-term consequences.
With content-engagement algorithms our monkey-brain doesn’t stand much of a chance. Multiple of your favourite interests dispensing serotonin shots minute after minute. With the scroll confirmation giving basic feedback, let’s not even get into the camera. I’ll put money on pro versions not needing scrolling soon enough. Then doom scrolling will just become…

I was interested in an Amstrad WiFi for retro reasons and tumbled down the rabbit hole. He conned an entire country.

If you eat more meat because of what someone said you’re clearly deranged.

Sabotage, lol, keep on coming up with excuses. Pretend it’s not you who’s the shitty person. I started my movement when I was a child and didn’t even know the word vegan. For a lot of people vegan is a personal thing and the fact there’s a community is a bonus, but you wouldn’t understand.

You’re just making shit up to try and justify your stance. It’s hilarious.

You could choose to stop murdering animals, yet here we are.

Why, explain, why the next time you go shopping you NEED to buy animal products?
You talk about my lack of empathy? jokes are flowing tonight. I noticed you didn’t deny the chicken allegations ;)
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 7 months ago:
They would drive animals off cliffs. That would cause horror if they were to repeat it today yes. Just stop eating living animals its that simple, but if you want to eat bugs, knock yourself out.
I think we’ll find “plagues” of species more common and end up harvesting as many as possible then so that “locust” is the primary protein source for that year.

- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 7 months ago:
Well I suggest you go to one of the many places where people are talking about it. I hesitate to share one with you but try
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 7 months ago:
Lead by example, or are you too weak to do that?
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 7 months ago:
Key word there is motivation. I know its 10 letters long so I can explain it if I have to.

No, do your own work if you actually care or are you just trying to “gotcha” me?
- Comment on [Serious] Why do so many people seem to hate veganism? 7 months ago:
Well colour me surprised. I don’t know why you aren’t allergic to it either.
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 7 months ago:
There is no positive motivation to move people away from meat. Health maybe? Shame and forcing self-reflection is one of the few effective tools.
Your last paragraph is just rubbish. That’s not what I was calling pathetic.
- Comment on Why do people still eat beef when we know it's terrible for Earth? 7 months ago:
I mean you do you if you think that’s decent human behaviour.
