Just arrange the pepperoni in advance so you can cut normal without slicing them.
- Comment on I have seen a lot of movies where the Catholic School Nuns smack a students hand for being disruptive or something is this a trope or a real something? Like most notable in Blues Brothers 2 weeks ago:
No worries, they beat my dad in public school for the same thing. My mother told my kindergarten teacher to fuck off when she suggested my left handedness needed to be corrected (in 1989).

Yes, they beat my grandfather for trying to be left-handed
- Comment on Butter 2 weeks ago:
It's not. That's an appropriate amount of butter for a whole stack of pancakes. I'd actually add more, and I'm lactose intolerant.

Not in my area. You have to park in the same direction as the flow of traffic or get a ticket.

What's the oldest show with living actors in the main cast that's still in reruns? The Dick Van Dyke Show maybe?
- Comment on Microsoft has a problem: nobody wants to buy or use its shoddy AI products — as Google's AI growth begins to outpace Copilot products 1 month ago:
It just lies like crazy whenever I make quick searches for scientific info. Like, beyond wrong and unhelpful, it cites literature that definitively does not show what it claims. Very unhelp for when I need to know, say, what are all the known ligands for a given receptor or whether a certain cell line expresses a specific cytokine. Things that should be super easy for an "advanced" search system.

If I could turn off the Google one at work, my usage for both would drop to zero

- Comment on Microsoft AI CEO pushes back against critics after recent Windows AI backlash — "the fact that people are unimpressed ... is mindblowing to me" 2 months ago:
I have yet to find any application for AI. I certainly won't put any money into those products and I turn off anything that tries to introduce them without my consent. They are the equivalent of intrusive ads to me. If it can't block, I stop using the application.
- Comment on "Does Hitler have a right to privacy?" and other big questions in research ethics. 2 months ago:
I know my institution wouldn't allow this without informed consent from himself pre-death or legally responsible family members. Plus you have to be able to withdraw consent at any time and we have to destroy all data, including sequencing analysis, upon request. Not sure how that affects published data but we'd have to strip it out of any data repositories the publications may point to as well.

So the homeless people peeing on the streets will now definitely smell like piss wherever they go, instead of just maybe smelling like piss? Good times.

Does he actually fuck anyone? I thought most of his creepy harem conceived by IVF or IUI because he finds women repugnant but necessary for breeding.
- Comment on This is a real post from the official DHS account on X 3 months ago:
Apparently there were 2 similar incidents, one shot and tear gassed, according to ACLU: Pastor David Black of the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago in the Woodlawn neighborhood, whose peaceful, free expression of his religion has led to his being shot repeatedly in the head with near-lethal projectiles and sprayed in the face with tear gas.
For the second one, I can't find any media outlets covering it to link a news article, but there's a photo circling showing a man with a clerical collar being pepper sprayed.
